Hunter did such a wonderful job at communicating with me and was SO patient with me when I was trying to figure out how many bows I needed, what size, the perfect colors/design, and if they were to be on clips or a hair elastic for 4 girls (and one of them is picky about what is put in her hair). Hunter was able to help me get the perfect combination of what I needed so it would work either way. The bows are absolutely beautiful and are put together very well. Hunter even got the bows delivered to me very quickly. I will remain a dedicated shopper! Thank you so much Hunter, the bows matched perfectly with the outfits and my mom loved the pictures even more because she thought the bows made the entire outfit so much more adorable.

Katiebug Bows, LLC - Where it all began
After my daughter, Katie, was born I loved walking through the boutique stores and looking at all the adorable outfits for little girls. I was born and raised in the Carolinas so I was very drawn to beautiful smocked dresses but they are not inexpensive! Every now and then I would splurge for a special occasion outfit but I couldn't bring myself to pay $10.00 for a hair bow after paying $70+ for a dress!! I was convinced that the first time I put that bow in Katie's hair it would get terribly dirty or worse - lost!
So, I had the brilliant idea that I could just make my own bows for less!! No problem, right? Well, I quickly learned two lessons. First, making a good looking hair bow is harder than it looks and, second, the only way to make it for less money is to buy supplies in bulk. Before I knew it my house was covered in ribbon as I kept buying all the cute ribbon that I found.
At that point I clearly hadn't saved any money but I had a new hobby. I started to wonder if I could sell any of my creations as a way to cover my costs but I wanted to make sure I didn't ask anyone to pay for something if it wasn't a really consistent and good quality product. I practiced for six months before I sold my first bow in April, 2010 and Katiebug Bows was born!
All of the products in my Etsy shop are hand made by me in my smoke free and pet free home. My hair bows and ponytail streamers are all hand sewn and I heat seal all exposed edges so your bows will still look great after months of wear.

Items are shipped USPS First Class Mail. At this time Katiebug Bows is only shipping to United States addresses, including Puerto Rico and APO. Priority Shipping is available for an additional fee which must be paid before your order is shipped.

Who makes your items? Are they handmade?
Yes! I make every item by hand in my smoke free home in North Carolina. All hair bows and ponytail streamers are hand sewn to insure that they look beautiful no matter how often you use them.
Woven headbands are also all created by me. I do not resell products made by other businesses.
