Transforming a dull board into a bright canvas always excites me! This photo shows 3 phases of preparation; raw board (left), milled thin cut slices (center), and sanded and waxed ready for engraving (right). Will come to life as jewelry this afternoon!
One of my favorite things about this 'job' is exposing the hidden beauty of wood. Cutting into a raw hunk of tree to find brilliant colors and grain patterns excites me every time. In this picture, you can see the first glimpse of Pink Ivory.

Like a Snowball in a Snowstorm

After years of working primarily with fused glass, my creative efforts began to wander in early 2011.

I began making wood jewelry and gifts, which led to the launch of my line of sustainable wooden jewelry in August 2011. I added a few pieces to my dormant etsy store in the months to follow, leading to my first etsy sale on November 21, 2011.

Soon after, I introduced my line of exotic wooden plugs, and began listing gift items that I had created for the event vending I had done the previous summer. The more I added to my shop, the bigger reaction I received. A few oddball items began to draw attention (thanks, regretsy :) and the rest is history.

I've been working super hard to build my business, and I appreciate the help of my etsy customers very much. Lots hard work over many long days is beginning to pay off; I look forward to expanding before long, to offer more options with even quicker turnaround.

It is a great time to be a part of the handmade movement.

Frequently asked questions
I ordered the wrong size plugs. Can I exchange them?

We can help with exchanges of UNWORN jewelry only. If the plugs/earrings have not been tried on (never touched an ear at all) and you contact us within seven days of delivery, we can help you get the correct size. For health/hygiene reasons, we can not accept exchanges or returns of jewelry that has made contact with an ear.

Due to high international shipping costs, buyer will be responsible for all postage for returns and exchanges.

Are your plugs/earrings sold in pairs?

Yes, all ear related items are sold in PAIRS. If you select a qty of 1, you will receive two pieces, one for each ear.

(If you only want one, you may contact us to arrange for the sale of a single, however we find that most people want two, so all of our listings are for PAIRS)
