keepsies' Shop Policies
I am thrilled to welcome you to keepsies - a retail site offering a wonderfully eclectic mix of vintage and antique goodies - things of wonder, delight or amusement, decorative, practical or whimsical, from ancient times through Victorian, Edwardian, Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Mid Century Modern, Modernist, and Retro - everything I sell has attracted my eye, and I hope will delight yours too! Based in North Wales in the UK, with Cornish roots, and selling to the world.
Payment can be made securely, quickly and easily via PayPal.
For UK buyers, a postal order or cheque is also an option, but Paypal is preferred for speed and convenience. Paypal is easy to sign up for, and secure.
I always try and post items as soon as possible after payment, but I usually ship out about once a week, on a Thursday or Friday.
UK shipments are always sent by Registered Signed For post; parcels weighing up to 1 kilo are sent by Royal Mail, those over 1 kilo usually by ConnectPlus. Tracking numbers are provided.
Shipments abroad (i.e. anywhere other than the UK), are shipped by standard Air Mail: if you require Tracking or Signed For International shipping please convo me for an amended shipping price - it usually adds about £5 to the postage charge, but this will only provide compensation in the event of the parcel being lost, as there is no compensation cover available for damage during shipment to antiques, glass and ceramics sent abroad.
However, please don't be alarmed - I have been selling and shipping fragile and antique items abroad for over 10 years now, and always take immense trouble with the packing to ensure the items arrive at their destination safely!
Reducing, reusing and recycling is important to us, so recycled shipping supplies are used when available. This can include pre-used padded envelopes, bubble wrap, foam chips, boxes, etc; I also buy in new packaging materials, and always ensure I have wrapped your item as safely as possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be thrilled with your keepsies purchase, but if for some reason you are not, please convo me, or contact me via email at sueellery [!at] hotmail.com, and I will do everything I can to make it better!
I do try and describe every aspect of the items I sell in great detail, so please make sure you have read right through the information on each item before buying - the size and weight for example, and the condition. Most of the items I sell are antique or at the very least, vintage and probably pre-loved and pre-used, so please don't expect perfection!
If an item arrives broken (most unlikely I assure you!) or not in the condition as described, I will of course refund in full (but would need a photo sent by email first); if you have simply changed your mind, I will refund for the item, but not for the postage.
But whatever the issue - do convo me and I will be as helpful as I can...

NEW! I do offer a Layaway Plan for the pricier items to help with purchasing.
And even NEWER! From today, any one OR MORE items TOTALLING £50.00 or more can be purchased by Layaway... so you can pile up the cheaper items to make it up to £50...
If the total in your shopping trolley, BEFORE postage costs and AFTER discount codes applied, totals £50 or more... you can choose to pay for your purchase in easy instalments.
20% of the purchase total is due at the time of check-out - this will be held as a non-refundable deposit. The balance will then be split into 4 easy payments, due every 2 weeks from the date of purchase. Once your invoice is paid in full, your purchase will be shipped to you.
A warning, though - if you default on the payments or decide against the items, the 20% deposit will be forfeit but any additional money paid will be refunded to you.
