The most exquisite piece of wearable art! Each bead is a separate work of art, individually fabulous and then beautiful as part of the whole, coherent piece. Very light and easy to wear, I love it!!

Beautiful delicate little painting from Kellee, even prettier than it looked online. All packaged very nicely - felt like such a treat to receive :) Thank you!
Colour and Function and Love and Connection
I started my shop in January 2013.
It was a long journey from sitting in my room for hours, month, years, making things, experimenting, learning new techniques to actually plucking up the courage to sell the things I make. I've always believed and loved any artist that says that they make things for themselves: I can totally relate to that. That they make the objects they want to exist in the world, because there's nothing they'd rather do with their time. I guess the leap is believing that other people might like those things, too.
With lots of support and encouragement from loved ones, I decided to go for it and set up my own Etsy shop, after being a fan of the site for a few years. That first day, I must have checked my stats a hundred times. (Maybe more...). And when I started to get views, I couldn't believe it - I kept refreshing to make sure it was real.
Even though I am a great supporter of 'useless art' - that wonderful Wildean notion - I also love functional objects. William Morris said: "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." I support and endorse and condone this proposition fully! I've never been a fan of trinkets or objects that gather dust. The aim of my domestic life has always been to make sure function and form take priority, preferably at the same time.
When I started making pouches and notebooks, it was the culmination of these two ideas - form and function - that motivated me. Nothing wrong with having a beautiful notebook to write even the most mundane things in - shopping lists, appointments, bills to be paid. And even if you've got £1.76 to your name (which I have had, many times), having a pretty pouch to keep it in has always made me feel better about it.
I'm not sure what it takes, really, to have faith in yourself as an artist/maker/jeweller/writer/painter - whatever your chosen focus is. For me, a huge part of it was letting go of worrying about judgement, comparison, being 'cool' - whatever those things mean anyway. The things I list in my shop are precious to me - my time and love and craft have gone in to making each one, which amounts to years of study, practice, time, nights spent hunched over a desk, frustrated moments of scribbling things out, starting again. So that someone else sees that, and wants the result of it, and orders it from my shop: it feels like a profound moment of connection. I love that feeling.
Owner, Designer, Creator
I've always been fascinated with turning ideas into real, tangeable things - it feels like magic to me. So I make! I draw, paint, print and sew to bring those ideas into reality.
Just a few things to note about my work:
❂ each item of reprinted material I sell is taken from an original piece of artwork/illustration/typography, made by me. As such, I retain the copyright of each piece and purchasing does not provide reproduction rights.
❂ each pouch I sell is made from handpainted fabric illustrated with designs by me, based on an original illustration by me. As such, I retain the copyright of each piece and purchasing does not provide reproduction rights.
❂ each original painting I sell is made by me and as such, I retain the copyright of each piece. Purchasing does not provide reproduction rights.
❂ each knitted/crocheted/fabric piece I sell is based on an original pattern/concept by me.
