About kelley street studio

I've been in the antiques, vintage and arts business full time since the early 1970's with a life time of experience in retail sales, buying and selling vintage and recycled goods as well as creating my own works from ideas and objects that inspire me.
Somehow I've never lost the passion and curiosity for new knowledge and new avenues for selling, love trying out new product lines and resources so my shop is always changing. Being located in mid Coast Maine allows me to be out and about hunting for new old merchandise frequently and it's what I love to do.
My long time friend and co-maker of creative goods, prints, photographs and supplier of fine vintage goods, known as UF to his friends and colleagues, has recently joined me as part of my shop business so we will be offering a number of new categories and creative works on paper for your art pleasure.

Shop policies

Last updated on May 26, 2018
I've listed a few shop policies regarding payment and shipping, it's always best to read these before making a purchase from any shop as it sometimes prevents a problem later on.

My items are primarily vintage and one of a kind or hand made, non refundable unless I have described an item incorrectly, I'm available to answer any questions about my items through the etsy Conversation system. If a return is necessary or damage occurs in shipping, please contact me within 3 days of receipt of your order for a resolution or a refund with return of the purchased item(s).

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns
Contact me within: 5 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
I don't accept exchanges or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
I have no hard and fast return policy, it seldom occurs for me since I describe my items accurately and show them well but In the event of an error on my part or if you are unhappy with your purchase, a return is handled in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Please notify me within 5 days of receipt of the item and ship your return within 14 days of item receipt for a refund, I do not pay the return shipping.
Damaged and incorrectly described items will be refunded - I just need photos of the damaged item and the packaging it was in for the insurance claim, thanks.
Payments are due at time of purchase. I accept both Etsy Direct Checkout and Paypal services. I do not accept checks or money orders.
I generally ship items within 24 hours of purchase; if you wish to cancel a sale please do so before you receive your shipment notification so that you won't need to pay the return shipping charges.

Maine purchases are subject to 5.5% sales tax.
All items are shipped by the US Postal Service- I try to use the most reasonable rate for you but I also want to ship your items safely and well protected.
I don't use other shipping services since USPS is the most economical and dependable for me. I cannot accommodate requests for express shipments or guarantee delivery dates for you.
You will receive a USPS tracking/confirmation number at time of shipment. Items shipped by USPS Priority Mail include insurance, USPS First class shipments do not include insurance. Any issues regarding shipping upgrades, insurance, extra services need to be taken care of before an item is purchased and paid for, thanks.

Due to inconsistent international delivery dates and communication problems, I have discontinued international shipping in general on items over 8 ounces. If there is a piece that you are interested in and it requires out of US shipping, please contact me to see if I can accommodate you as I do ship elsewhere on occasion if the item is small and you don't require immediate delivery.

Dealing in antiques and vintage items is a full time profession for me. I guarantee my merchandise to be as represented and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about a piece. Offers on my items are not welcome as I try to keep my prices reasonable from the start, I don't haggle over prices and I don't do lay away sales, it's not practical for my business.
Additional policies and FAQs
Offers on my merchandise or requests for a lower price are not welcome, any items that are reduced in price are at my own discretion.
All of my antique and vintage items are guaranteed to be as represented. I don't sell reproduction items of any kind.
My items which are handmade from recycled papers, fabrics, and supplies are clearly marked as such.
Other than a lack of response from me to offers on my merchandise, I'm happy to answer any questions about an item in my shop and try to get back to you as quickly as I can.
