Enchanted Artwork and Handmade Creations
Kelsey O'Dell is a traditional, mixed media artist and designer who has explored a large variety of mediums over the past 15 years. She creates small to large scale pieces of artwork using colored pencil, ink pens, marker, and acrylic paint. Some of her favorite surfaces to paint on are slabs of wood, vintage handsaws, and sawblades she finds from antique shops and flea markets. She also makes crochet accessories, crystal & bone jewelry, dreamcatchers, and handmade oddity/curiosity decor.
Through her drawings and paintings, she captures surrealistic imagery of animals, nature, and ethereal characters. She uses a color palette of earth tones, bright pastels, and neon colors to create dynamic and whimsical environments. Kelsey spends a lot of time in nature, observing and learning from her surroundings. During her adventures, she collects found objects including animal bones, butterfly wings, twigs, pinecones, and anything botanical that inspires her. Many of these findings can be found collaged into some of her artwork.
All animal bones and butterfly wings that are used within her work are 100% ethically sourced. No living creatures are harmed to create any of her jewelry, collages, or wall hangings.
