Announcement    Think memory, shrine, reliquary, totem, legacy: each heirloom quality, hand-soldered pendant encapsulates an image or bit of treasure and keeps it close to your heart. Oriel pendants feature or showcase a specific wild animal, mystical being, vintage memory, religious icon. Each piece is carefully, lovingly hand-soldered with lead-free solder. I often use vintage or hand-dyed ribbons, handmade papers, Swavorski crystal beads or rhinestones. Each piece of oriel jewelry resonates with the soulful, creative in you. My custom pendants are a way to keep your animal companions close to you; a means to honor a long-lost relative, a way to enshrine a special bit of personal treasure. Once you choose an oriel and wear it, it becomes part of your psyche -- a little window into your desires and wishes, likes and loves, dreams and fantasies.

Here's what one of my customers said: "I have two of Virginia's oriel necklaces, one is the GlamGirl Ice Diva, and the other is an Itsy Bitsy of a mosque with stars. They are very special to me and have a great feeling. When I wear them, people always comment about them."

Each pendant is a small work of art -- a handmade collage -- sandwiched between a beveled glass and a plain piece of glass, wrapped with copper tape, then soldered with lead-free solder. Decorative solder beading (resembling silver icing) enhances both sides of the oriel's frame.

My handmade, collage pendants -- "oriels" -- are beautiful little windows to the soul that grab the eye, lift you up, and celebrate the magic of life.

Each pendant is a little work of art, a handmade collage, sandwiched between glass slides or beveled glass pieces, hand-soldered (I use lead-free solder), and ornamented with pretty, dangly things or esoteric symbols. It is then polished to a beautiful shine, a 24" ball chain necklace is added, and a hang tag containing care instructions is attached.

CUSTOM WORK: I can also create a custom, one-of-a-kind oriel pendant for you, using your own photographs of long lost relatives, animal companions, friends, family, even dreams.

Be forewarned that when you wear one of these magical, mini works of art, people will exclaim "Oh, my!", "How fabulous!", and inevitably, "Where did you get this!?"
