About

The World Through a Lens

Emily started to become passionate about photography back in 2007 when she was living in Azerbaijan as a Peace Corps volunteer. Having the ability to share the unique place she was living in with her friends and family back home inspired her to take her photography in more artistic direction. She wanted not only to show the beauty of the place she was living, but also her perspective on what made it unique and special.

Emily continues to want to share the big and small aspects of how she see the world with others. She wants her photography to inspire emotional connections. It's her hope that her photography will make someone smile, remember a loved one, want to travel, or wonder about and create a story within the frame they see.

Although much of her photography stems from her travels, She continues to be inspired by the world that is immediately around her.

In 2014, her brother Stephen, joined her photography Etsy store. Stephen's art, much like Emily's, focuses on the world around him that might be easily overlooked in our everyday hustle and bustle.

I've always been inspired by all forms of art, but photography has become passion. I grew up in rural Michigan, but have lived in New Jersey, North Carolina, Maryland and Azerbaijan. Each of these places has helped mold my photography.

Shipping
I ship USPS and cannot guarantee shipping times. Please recheck the address listed in your Etsy account. I ship to this address unless otherwise contacted by the buyer. I try to place my orders with my photography lab the same day I receive an order.

Please be aware that I order most of prints from a professional lab once they've been ordered and paid for. I keep limited stock on hand. For photographs I do have on stock, I will ship between 1-3 days after purchase. For photographs I do not have in stock, I will order from my lab and they will be shipped directly to you. The lab usually takes 24 to 48 hours to print then ship photographs. For orders shipping within the US, I ship with USPS standard shipping which can take 5+ days to arrive to you. There is an option for Expedited shipping. After the 24-48 hours of manufacturing time, your photograph will be shipped with FedEx 1-business day shipping. This service is only available for delivery Monday-Friday, so please keep this in mind if you choose this option close to a weekend.

For international orders, prints must first be shipped to me and then shipped to you. This may delay the scheduled to ship times about 1-2 weeks. I ship all orders with USPS and supply tracking information. However, once the item reaches the destination country, USPS does not always update this tracking information. Additionally, I am not responsible for custom fees or duty taxes. If a package is left at the post office/customs it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to pick up the package. Should a package be returned to me as undeliverable or unclaimed, shipping fees to resend package will be responsibility of the buyer.

Pillow covers and other non print orders can take up to 3 weeks to ship. The manufacturer I use does not rush orders. Some items can be shipped with more expedited shipping, but not all. Please ask me if you need a product sooner than the shipping time.

All items ship protected with either an archival sleeve or wrapped in protective plastic depending on the size or item purchased. Smaller prints ship with a cardboard backing to ensure they do not bend during shipment. Canvas and larger prints may come rolled in a tube or mounted.
Refunds and Exchanges
Other than a damaged item or mistake on my part, all sales are final. Please contact me within 3 days of receiving any item that is damaged. I will work with you to get a replacement sent, but I don't just blindly send replacements.

Please read the listings carefully. I will not refund or replace an item due to a misreading of a listing.

If a package is returned to me due to an error in the buyer's address, I am not responsible for issuing a refund. I will resend the item at the buyer's expense for shipping. If I have not heard anything from the buyer by the end of 2-weeks, the order will be closed and the item will not be resent.

Items can take a very long time to reach international buyers. At times an item is not lost but stuck in customs.

Please contact me with any questions you have with your shipment. I will do my part on contacting USPS to see if I can help with finding where a package is if it is taking a longer than average amount of time.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please know that every computer screen is calibrated differently. Depending on the calibration of your screen, a photograph may appear lighter or darker and the colors may vary slightly in person.

I do accept custom orders. If you want one of my prints as a canvas or metal print, as a pillow cover, mug, or tote bag, greeting card, or mobile phone cover contact me about prices.

If you do not see the size of photograph you want listed in my store, please contact me. Although not all sizes are available for all photographs, I can try to work with you to get the size you want.

I do not sell digital copies of my photographs. If you are in a rush to have an photograph, please contact me about rush orders.

If I don't have a photograph in stock, I now ship directly from my lab to you. If you would like your photograph signed and dated on the back of your print, please let me know in the "Notes to Seller" upon purchase. This will delay the shipping time.
