Frequently asked questions
Can I buy just 1 chain, for multiple pendants?

Yes - I have wrapped my pendants so that they can slip off of the chains I make, that way you have the option to purchase multiple pendants and just 1 chain. You may have a chain at home that works too; let me know if you need me to measure the opening in one of my pendant's bails to make sure your chain will fit through.

Do you offer Custom Alterations?

Most necklaces can be shortened and some necklaces can be lengthened; the cost for a custom alteration will likely be around $5-$20 depending on the materials and labor - please be sure to inquire prior to purchase. Please note items that have been altered are not returnable.

International Buyers

International buyers: Customs taxes, tariffs, import duties, and/or fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. VAT/GST fees are NOT included; I am not VAT registered therefore VAT is not applicable in my shop. Thank you for understanding that I have no knowledge of, or control over, costs that another country may impose upon its citizens for shopping overseas. Please check your countries tax chart, thank you.

What materials do you use?

I use natural stones, and metals of either solid sterling silver (925 purity), fine silver (999 purity), or 14k gold fill (next best to solid gold). Oxidized sterling silver is solid sterling silver where the natural oxidization process is accelerated to create a darker patina. Gold-fill (aka rolled gold, aka G-F) is a layer of solid gold over a base metal - the layer of solid gold is over 100x thicker than gold vermeil or gold plated; Goldfill is the next best thing to solid gold.

What kind of stones do you use?

I use genuine precious and semiprecious stones. In my shop you will not find synthetic, reconstituted, imitation, or man-made stones such as goldstone or opalite. I do not use dyed stones. Some stones like Tanzanite and Sapphire are basically always heated to achieve their color (it would be rare to see an unheated sapphire in jewelry, for example, and you would expect to see it labeled as such). Turquoise by nature is a relatively soft porous stone so the industry standard is to stabilize with a clear epoxy so it's more suitable for jewelry; this does not change the color of the stone and stabilization is absent only from the highest-end most expensive Turquoise • Any questions please definitely message me! :)

How best to care for handmade jewelry?

Handcrafted jewelry and natural stones by their nature need more care and consideration than mass-produced jewelry. To keep handmade jewelry looking its best, avoid wearing while sleeping, exercising, bathing, swimming, etc; do not store in sunlight or in a humid environment (ie bathroom); prevent exposure to chemicals and things like perfume, lotion, hairspray, chlorine, soap, sweat, oils, saltwater, etc, as such elements can cause accelerated tarnishing of sterling silver and can cause natural stones to darken or become dull (especially porous stones like Opal, Turquoise or Pearl) *** It's important to note any such change would be the normal expected reaction for natural elements, and not in any way a defect of the materials or jewelry.
