I finished this sweet wrap and put in on a leather cord today. It's a beautiful teardrop laboridite stone with lots of iridescence! Antiqued & polished the copper after completing the wrap!

About

Learning to call myself 'Artist'

Once upon a time, I was thriving according to my bank account but miserable inside. Fortunately, I had my husband there to support us when I decided to trade dollars for happiness. Though our life has changed a bit, when I look back in the rearview mirror I am so grateful now for a life of authenticity and passion.

When I began creating jewelry, I only sold on Etsy. Now I do several festivals a year all around the Carolinas, and I love it! It's inspiring to see faces and interact with those who are drawn to what I've created in my lil' studio. I love stones, beads, and working with a variety of metals and wire. I wrap, weave, do viking knit, and create both cold and hot connections; sometimes adding glass or stone, or design and create just with the metal. It's no surprise that along with wrapping and weaving wire, I also really enjoy weaving wrap bracelets.

In 2015, our local KidsPeace, an organization dedicated to the well-being of children in the foster care system, invited a select group of artists to participate in their annual fundraising campaign. Each artist was given a rough, abused chair, and asked to lovingly transform it from broken to beautiful; much like the children they serve. The chair I painted is pictured in the slide show. The 2015 auction of the chairs raised over $30,000. It also opened up a whole new world of expression for me.

I live in North Carolina with my husband and sweet Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lily. I am currently getting ready for 2016 festivals and working on opening another shop featuring my miniature dot paintings.

Through the years, I've been shy about calling myself an artist; it is with the most humble gratitude that I am living my life as an artist.

Cheers-
Kerstin

Hello there! As a jewelry artist and painter, I am primarily self-taught, though I have taken enough classes to know how to safely play with fire and metal. I live in North Carolina with my husband and sweet Corgi, Lily.

Hello there. Welcome to my shop, where I turn my addiction to buying beads into more cash for beads. Seriously, the quiet mornings, cups of hot coffee, and infinite design possibilities with colors and textures, findings and creative inspiration has lead me to find etsy... and make myself at home here. I want you to feel at home in my shop, so besides getting to know me a bit, here's what you can expect.

I take Paypal, debit and credit cards. Normally, I ship between 1-3 days after receiving your order. I will also take a money order, and in that case will ship after I receive it.
Shipping
In almost all cases, your package will be shipped through the USPS. I keep a tracking number with all shipments, and if it seems that it's taking too long to get to you, email me, and I'll track it down, and see where it is.
Additional policies and FAQs
Most often I use nickel free findings, and I specify when I've used sterling for the ear wires. If you need sterling on a pair of earrings you love, convo me, and I will change out the earwires to sterling for an additional $2.00 per pair, and change the listing for you before you purchase! Thanks!
