Announcement   I make simple, elegant, minimal and easy-to-wear wedding bands, commitment rings and stack rings in my eco-friendly metalsmithing studio. With 16 years of goldsmithing experience, my jewelry is always made with attention to detail and craftsmanship on the tiny island of St John in the US Virgin Islands.

I offer understated jewelry that works well for an active lifestyle, that won't get in the way of living--you won't even know you are wearing it, it is that comfortable. It is inspired by the laid back, minimalist and unpretentious island ethos of St John, where black flip flops are considered formal footwear--really!

Visit my website, www.kimnogueira.com where you can sign up for my newsletter to see more of what is happening in my studio, and check out the mechanical art jewelry that I also make.

And please don't hesitate to contact me with questions or comments through an etsy convo.

I always offer a refund if the piece doesn't work for you: jewelry is sometimes challenging to buy never having tried it on, so I offer a refund (unfortunately not for shipping) if you return the item in unworn condition within 7 days of having received it. Contact me for return shipping details.

Great ring - just as pictured! Super great cust service and fast shipping! Back to the ring - I love how all of the edges are 'rounded.' It's not just a round ring with flat sides and edges, but is round all over and very comfortable. Thank you very much! :-)

About

My mornings start where octopus wash up at my feet and where iguanas, herons, deer, crabs and endangered sea turtles leave tracks in the sand...

Half of the living room in our built-by-ourselves-with-reclaimed-materials home is devoted to my metalworking studio, with hammers and steel blocks sharing space with my beachcomber finds--fragments of shell and urchin, pods and sea-worn wood. The island of St John provides no shortage of inspiration in the beach-worn detritus that I collect from its shores and incorporate into the gemstone and silver, copper, and bronze metalwork that I fabricate; although of late I've been hunkered down at my bench constructing automaton jewelry--mechanical marvels to delight, amaze and inspire :)

My award-winning jewelry has been published in books, art calendars, and magazines and has been selected for juried and invitational exhibitions across the country.

Shipping
I use recycled materials in my packaging--boxes and shipping material are sustainably sourced.

Some items are made to order and involve fabrication time, which will be listed in the description of the item.

If you need an item of jewelry immediately, I offer an upgrade to Priority Express shipping via the US Post Office. This usually takes 3 days to get to you from where I live in the US Virgin Islands.

I use Priority Insured mail for shipping to the United States for items $250 and over. For items under $250 I ship using First Class Insured mail.

I use First Class International shipping for countries other than the United States.
If your country or postal service adds brokerage or custom's fees, taxes, or any other fees, you are responsible for those, so please educate yourself on the shipping regulations where you live.
