Welcome to our world!

Cole & Kimberly met, quickly found they shared a common passion for art, vintage decor & the thrill of the hunt. They proceeded to start collecting, then started DukeDuchessDesignCo together. Cole proposed shortly after & Kimberly said yes!! They now run UndertowMediaNC & DukeDuchessDesignCo, trying to spend as much time as possible enjoying the life they are creating together.

Gift wrapping and packaging

We are more than happy to gift wrap & add a special note or card in the package. If you have a special request we will be more than happy to get extra creative for you!

Condition of Vintage Items

"Very Good" for pieces that are in excellent condition. Yet please remember that these items have mostly been used before; so they will have a few imperfections. Anything that is obvious will be noted in the description and/or pictures.

"Good" condition; it means that it does have some flaws (and should be noted in the description). Less than perfect, but still in good shape.

Damages During Shipping

The USPS has changed it claims requirement to having to bring in the box and broken piece to the local post office in order to file a claim on this insurance.

1. Please take pictures of the broken item and the box and packaging and send those to me in a message.
2. I will then file a claim for reimbursement and send you the claim number.
3. I will then ask you to take the broken piece and its packaging to your local post office for their review (remember to bring the claim number with you).
4. Notify me that this step was taken and I’ll issue a refund at that time.

What is Vintage?

Vintage means an item is at least 20 years old or at the most 99 years old. Once it is 100 years old, you can call it an antique. Please be aware that you are purchasing a used item. We keep trying to improve our descriptions and pictures to point out chips or dents or other issues a piece may have.

Saying that, there may be small vintage wear that go unnoticed. I do go over the piece when I buy it, wash it, take its picture, write its description or weigh it. Yet still, sometimes I miss it. The right light will show scratches on dinner plates for example. One time, you could see a crack in a piece of pottery in the photograph that you could not see when looking at it.

Discounts

Discounts will take into consideration the cost of the pieces and how many listings are purchased so I cannot offer a blanket percentage. Please message me if you going to purchase more than one listing.

And, it never hurts to ask what is our best price. Sometimes we have to let things go and sometimes we cannot not go lower.
