    About

    How my etsy shop came to be:

    I started making bodysuit extenders because I didn't want to put my favorite outfits in the "too small" pile quite so soon. Extenders also saved me money because I had to buy less clothes and I felt less guilty about buying some higher end outfits because i knew they could be worn for almost twice as long :) It took me an hour and a half to make my first set of extenders!
    I decided to try selling them on Etsy to see if other moms were as excited about them as I was. I had a great response, and soon I perfected the art of making the extenders and brought my mom on board to help with the sewing. Being on Etsy has been a great experience for me. The funnest part is reading through happy customers' reviews and seeing pics of your little ones wearing the extenders that we made.

    Welcome to my little shop!
    Ever since I was a kid I loved to create. I had no extraordinary talents or abilities really, other than my love of making things, no matter what they were. I have sold many handcrafted things throughout the years, but until I started making bodysuit extenders, I don't think I had customers who were quite as excited as I was.
    I also love business, and being a mom who can work from home. My little shop here on Etsy has let me do all these things. Thank you to each of my customers for making it all possible :)

    Are your snaps nickel free?

    Yes

    How do I know what snap size I need?

    Snap size varies depending on brand. We always recommend customers get the variety pack to have 1 of each size on hand initially. Once you begin using them, if you decide you would like extra of a specific size that you use more than the others, you now know what size you need and you can place a custom order. If you only use 1 brand of bodysuits and don't plan on getting any more in the future, send us a message and we can help you just get the size you need.

    Do you take custom orders?

    Yes. Simply go to our ad titled "2nd Order Options" and the drop down box will let you choose exactly what you need. You can also just add any one of our bodysuit extenders listings to your cart and leave a note at checkout specifying the snap sizes you want. We normally leave a couple sets of each style unsnapped for this purpose. If the style you selected is not available for a custom order I will message you and let you know so you can choose a different style. Please only place a custom order if you are sure you understand snap sizing and which sizes you need.

    Can I get the piece of fabric made longer to add even more length?

    Longer extenders tend add too much length and make the top of the leg hole of your babies bodysuit higher, which means that it could peak out of the waistband of the pants. The length we make our bodysuit extenders adds plenty of length without causing this problem. The longer length is very unlikely to be an issue for babies in bigger bodysuits (18 months and up), and we have made several longer sets for older toddlers with feeding tubes so that they can keep their site clean and safe.
    Shorter extenders would make sense for preemie or newborn bodysuits (although normally the standard length is just fine for newborns)

    What if the fabric color and patterns doesn't match anything I have?

    The bodysuit extenders are meant to be covered with pants or shorts. Other than being cute, the patterns serve as I way for you to quickly and easily be able to look at an extender and know which one it is without having to check and compare the snaps.

    Which brands will these work with?

    To my knowledge there are only 4 brands they do NOT work on: Hurley, Nike, Blanks Boutique and some of the Calvin Klein bodysuits (since they have a custom snap used only for their brand). These will not attach to plastic snaps.

    What if my bodysuits only have 2 snaps?

    If you encounter a 2-snapped bodysuit, simply leave the middle snap on your extender unsnapped. If you would rather custom order a special extender for your 2-snapped bodysuits just let us know.

    Do you have lighter weight fabric? Are these going to make my baby hot?

    The reason we use flannel is because it is soft and durable and the snaps attach very tightly to it. Remember, there is going to be a diaper between your baby and the extender so it should not be an issue.

    Are these made in a smoke free environment?

    Yes! They are made in a smoke free and pet free home. I also use scentless eco-friendly free and clear detergent to prewash the fabric.
