About

Many Branches On This Tree

"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree." ~ Albert Einstein

I've lived in the Chicago area my whole life, went to Northern Illinois University earning a Bachelor in Computer Science with a minor in Graphic Arts.

After many years as a computer programmer, I left the corporate world to take care of my son while working part-time. While enjoying my programming years (being a computer geek has come in handy in SO many ways), I was always pulled back to art in some form... taking night art classes, pencil sketching, photography, faux painting. I started making jewelry as another creative outlet and it has since taken off into a small business. I sell jewelry at local art and craft fairs (as Jewelry & Java) and have my Etsy shop. I also work during the week as an administrative assistant at a local church.

I love working with metal and color and my analytical background has paid off in creating balance. My style is all over the place: sweet, punk, playful, rustic, boho... generally whatever I'm in the mood for at the time.

What I didn't expect selling online is the enjoyment of working with & getting to know customers from around the world.

My dream is to make my Etsy shop into a serious online business… really wish I didn’t need to sleep!

Care instructions

Jewelry Care & Storage:

Beads, Crystals, Pearls, Gemstones & Gold – Clean with warm water and mild soap. Wipe with a soft cloth. Do not immerse pearls in water.

Sterling Silver & Mixed Metal – Clean with soft polishing cloth to remove light tarnish. To remove heavy tarnish, use jewelry cleaner or leave it to naturally tarnish to a vintage or rustic look.

Prevent silver jewelry from tarnishing by placing anti-tarnish strips in your jewelry box or store in plastic zip-lock bags.

Keep sterling silver away from tarnishing elements such as paper, cloth, rubber bands, and copper.
