Hi! King Dog is two friends, based in Northampton, MA (which was named "Best Small Arts Town in America". BAM! Suck on that, New York, LA, Portland, San Fransisco, Austin, Boston, and Chicago.)

We wept huge salty tears about the lack of creative output in our lives. Then we wept even saltier tears about the lack of fun, simple crafts in the area that are not too folksy or expensive. Eventually all our clothing was soaked with salty tears and we were forced to make some new clothing that was dry. Thus, this.

King Dog is handmade from scratch tote bags, vintage clothing, patches, felt, 1" buttons, and silk screened clothing.

Much of our packing material is recycled. Most of what you see in the shop is repurposed from second-hand or vintage materials--however, any design can just as easily be put onto American Apparel for a little more, so please convo us if you are interested in AA!

Please don't hesitate to contact us for any reason, either by email or convo!

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
We are open to refunds and exchanges in the event we have grossly misrepresented any of our items. But because we work mostly with vintage and secondhand, it will usually be a case of "We document as much wear and tear or vague sizing as we can. You contact us for any additional pictures or measurements you want. ALL BEFORE ORDERING!"
We accept Paypal--which means you can pay with any major credit card, even if you don't have a paypal account.

On our end of things, it should usually be around 4 weekdays between order and shipping. If for some reason it will take longer, we'll let you know--this includes shirts on American Apparel, and custom orders. We check our Etsy store regularly and ship as quickly as possible--please respect us by doing the same with payment. If you need more than 4 days between placing an order and Paypal payment, please send us a convo to let us know.
Some things will be packaged using the enormous pile of reused envelopes/cardboard that I have acquired. Hoarding paper products like a crazed squirrel is good for the environment, you see. Other things will be packaged inside new envelopes made from the blood of woodsprites.

Shipping is USPS First-Class or Parcel Post by default, without any pricey bells or expensive whistles. That means a couple of days domestic and a week or two international, on average, shipping times. But we cannot guarantee that, or guarantee package arrival, once it is handed over into the benevolent bosom of the United States Postal Service.

Convo or email us if you want insured mail, Express Mail, Priority Mail, to make sure it arrives on a certain date, etc.

Pricing shipping costs is a real pain, let me tell you. I weigh everything, add the weight of what I expect to ship it in, add 0.50 to 2.00 depending on how much non-recycled packing material was used, and then try to find what the USPS price is to different zones and different countries. Sometimes prices vary widely by postal zones inside the USA, or sometimes an item goes into a different shipping box than expected. If you were charged significantly more than the shipping ended up as, contact us and we can refund you the difference or do a discount for another item, thanks!
Additional policies and FAQs
If an item's color description and it's pictures do not match on your computer monitor, go by the color description! Monitor color displays vary, and we can't know for sure what the pictures will look like to you.

General Washing Instructions: For felt items, spot clean with damp cloth. For items with hand-sewing or embroidery, turn inside out and wash on delicate (or hand-wash preferably). For screen printed items, everything should already be ironed to heat set it, so machine wash normally! For bleached items, "Bleach-Stop" has been used to neutralize the damaging effects, but heat can sometimes bring out the worst in bleached items, even neutralized, so be careful when drying.
