Announcement   All of my patterns are original - no copies or PDFs. Any re-issues such as Vintage Vogue, Retro Simplicity, and Butterick Retro are in the 1980s, 1990s, or the 2000s sections of my shop. I strive to list and sell uncut, unused, factory folded (FF) sewing patterns whenever possible.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS, PLEASE NOTE: As I am in the US, I am NOT registered for VAT, and so this tax is not included in my prices. Import duties, taxes/VAT/GST and any other country's import fees or charges ARE NOT INCLUDED in our item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, are the buyer's responsibility. I WILL NOT FALSIFY A CUSTOMS FORM so don't ask me to do so.

I strive to be honest and accurate when describing the items in my shop. Please be mindful that most of the items offered in my shop are vintage and may have had previous owners so I can not guarantee that they have always been in smoke free or pet free environments.

The last hike in postage has caused international charges to rise dramatically. The new type of parcel post is also quite high. This was not my decision:). Overseas mail may take as long as a month or more to reach you. I ship at least every other business day.

PLEASE NOTE: We live out in the country, and are frequently without power. If there is a delay in replying to you or in shipping, it's because I'm without electricity & thus without my computer.

Layaway is available in certain circumstances. Please contact me for information.

Patterns have been counted, and in many cases, ironed & refolded. I don't just peek at the contents - I count. However, mistakes can, and do, occur when handling as many patterns per day as I do. If I've made an error, convo me. Returns are handled on an individual basis, as every sale is unique.

About

kinseysue

Many years ago, I began collecting depression glass. In my hunts, I came across other items which I knew could be sold for a profit, thus a dealer was born. It soon became an addiction and I set up at flea markets, shows, and rented booths in antique malls. I joined the world of ecommerce in 1998. My love of sewing patterns stems from my mother, who was the best seamstress I've ever known. I used to sit and look through her boxes of patterns and she would tell me the year she made a certain dress.

I've been an antique/collectible seller for years in brick and mortar stores, at shows, and then made the jump to ecommerce in 1998. Our home is decorated in an eclectic mixture of Art Deco and Moderne pieces I've found.

Frequently asked questions

Do you pay VAT taxes?

NO, THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE.
As I am in the US, import duties, taxes/VAT/GST and any other country's import fees or charges ARE NOT INCLUDED in our item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, are the buyer's responsibility.

Do you recycle packing materials?

Yes, in certain instances. I recycle packaged air and peanuts when shipping collectibles. In addition, many items do not properly fit into the USPS boxes and I use recycled boxes to safely get the item to its new home. Sewing patterns are never shipped in recycled material.
