About Kiss The Future

I am a freelance illustrator and designer from the UK, with a love of creating unique and individual items that are both affordable and distinct.

I started selling on Etsy in 2010 while at university. At first it was an outlet to sell my artwork and items I made for projects, although soon my love of making took over and upon graduating I started running it properly as a shop.

Kiss The Future now has evolved into a brand combining my love of nature and natural materials mixed with a few man made elements. Crystals have always attracted me due to their truly distinct nature, and I love working with them to create unique pieces.

All items are made with love and care in my studio in rural England.

PAYMENTS
Payments can be made by either PayPal, Etsy's Direct Checkout or by applying Etsy's gift cards.

CANCELLATIONS
If you change your mind and wish to cancel your order/exchange an item then please contact us as soon as possible after purchasing, ideally within 6 hours of purchasing. Cancellations/exchanges are accepted as long as the order has not yet been shipped - you will receive a dispatch e-mail notifying you when it has done so.
Shipping
PROCESSING TIMES
All items are shipped from the UK within 1-3 business days. Larger orders of 4 or more items may require an extra day.

UK SHIPPING
Items sent to the UK will be automatically posted 1st Class, with the exception of cards and prints which are sent 2nd class.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
All items posted internationally are sent via Royal Mail's Airmail, where the delivery aim is predicted to be 5-7 working days. However please keep in mind that items can be delayed by customs when entering your country so they may sometimes take longer, for this reason Airmail can take a maximum of 25 business days for delivery. Postage can also be slower around certain holidays due to the increase in items being sent. Therefore if possible please order items in plenty of time, to allow them sufficient time to arrive!

TRACKED SHIPPING
The standard shipping methods do not provide a tracking number - if you want tracked shipping, then this must be selected at the checkout.

SHIPPING DELAYS
We are not responsible for any delays by the postage services. If you have not received your order one month after it was shipped, please contact us and let us know.

INCORRECT ADDRESS / CUSTOMS FEES
We will not be held responsible incorrect/partial addresses being given to us, or if the item is unable to be delivered due to a problem on your end. The buyer is responsible for any customs/import fees which may occur.
Refunds and Exchanges
WORLDWIDE RETURNS
We regret that we do not accept worldwide returns.

EU RETURNS
Returns are accepted for orders within EU countries only. This is only on certain items items - Items that are made to order/custom made, earrings, or in the sale are NOT eligible for returns from any country.

CONDITIONS FOR EU RETURNS
For orders within the EU, returns are accepted for eligible items on the basis that the buyer pays the return shipping costs, and will receive a refund for the items only minus the original shipping expenses. The item must be received back in its original, unused condition - refunds will be rejected on any items which arrive back with signs of wear or damage and no refund will be given, as we are unable to sell them; in this case the buyer will be responsible for arranging return shipping if they wish for the rejected items to be sent back to them.

The buyer must notify us within 14 days of receiving the item of your wish to return it, and we must receive it back within a further 14 days. Refunds will only be processed once the item has been received back. The buyer is responsible for shipping the item back to us safely, we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to items being sent back to us. We reserve the right to treat each case with separate discretion.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS CAN'T BE RETURNED
Unless they arrived damaged, we cannot offer returns for:
- Made to order or custom items
- Earrings (due to hygiene reasons)
- Seconds or Sale items

DAMAGED ITEMS
In the unlikely event that an item arrives with damage, please contact us with a photo of the item and packaging within 7 days of receiving it. Photographic evidence will be required due to the fact we must submit it to Royal Mail to complete a claim.

LOST ITEMS
Although the postage methods are generally very reliable, items can be delayed or in rare circumstances get lost. Royal Mail does not class an item as lost until 14 working days after it was posted for UK orders, and 25 working days for international orders. This means that in the rare event your item has been lost, you must wait the full time allocated before we are able to take action.

Lost orders are taken seriously by Royal Mail and we always file a claim to the ‘Lost Mail and Fraud’ department for investigation. Please contact us no longer than 60 days after your order was placed if you have not received your order.

Please make sure you look at all photos, read the descriptions carefully and ask any questions before purchasing.

JEWELLERY CARE
- Keep away from water, as this can damage or tarnish the items.
- Keep away from hairspray, perfume or any other chemicals which may damage or corrode the items.
- Store in a clean and dry place, wipe only with a soft cloth.
- Do not sleep with jewellery on.
- Remove rings when washing hands.
- Crystals can be fragile, therefore avoid any sharp knocks.

We aim to make all jewellery with care and therefore will not be held responsible for any items being damaged after 7 days of delivery, as this would be indicative of the care of the items rather than an underlying fault.

VARIATIONS
All our jewellery is created using unique crystals and stones, therefore variations will occur. You must be aware that the piece you receive may be smoother / rougher / clearer / cloudier or have a variation in colour and brightness. This is due to the distinct nature of crystals, meaning that each piece produced is completely unique. Small marks may also be present on items, although these are characteristic of the handmade nature.

Any items with these variations or marks are not classed as faulty, as there are characteristic of the materials and making processes.

PREFERENCE?
If you have a preference to the type of crystal you would like, then please feel free to leave a note with your order (eg. I would prefer a smoother crystal) and we will try our best to match you up with the most suitable piece!

We are also happy for you to pick out your own necklace / crystal from those currently have available - just send us a message so we can send you a photo. Although please note we cannot reserve items, so please try to order promptly to ensure that we can give you the piece you would like.

Worldwide returns are not accepted, which is why we offer these methods so that you will be happy with the piece you receive.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items are sent in a black organza bag, individually wrapped in tissue paper. We do not ship items in gift boxes as this would increase the postage costs, however we are more than happy to include a personalised, handwritten note in with your order if you are sending it directly to the recipient - if you wish for us to do so, please leave a note with your order!

Custom and personalised orders

We are able to customise many designs, either changing the finish or length of the chain, or switching the crystals. If you have something in mind which isn't currently available in our store, then please get in contact and we will let you know if we can make this for you!

Sizing details

The sizes of pendants/crystals are listed in the description for each individual item. As crystals can vary in shape and size then often the measurements are approximations stating the minimum and maximum length to expect.
