Contemporary jewelry by Kit King
After 30 years of writing about the colors, textures and shapes of fashion, I turned to creating colors, textures and shapes in jewelry.
My journey started with stones. I've collected gemstones for many years. I love the color, the sparkle and, most of all, the stories behind the stones. It seemed a natural progression ... from collecting stones to creating the settings for them.
I make everything in my shop myself, by hand. I start with the stone, sheet metal and wire, then texture, cut, saw, file, shape, solder, sand and polish.
Clean lines, compelling statements and elegant looks are what I strive to achieve in my handcrafted, contemporary pieces. My jewelry is about richness in texture and shape, in color and pattern. I add to the foundation of metal, the intriguing colors and patterns of jasper or agate cabochons, the sparkle of a faceted peridot or the mystery of a quartz containing pyrite or lepidochrosite.
I love working with my customers to design and make unique pieces that will reflect the wearer's personality and style. I literally have hundreds of stones, both cabochons and facets. Through the magic of e-mail, we can conceive and fabricate a unique look just for you.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If a ready to ship or standard item does not meet your expectations, please get in touch with me within 10 days of receipt to request a refund or exchange. Custom items will require a 30% restocking fee. Shipping charges are not refundable.
Custom Orders
I require a 30% deposit on custom requests to cover the cost of needed materials. Once I have begun work on your request, that deposit is not refundable. I will need full payment before shipping your order.

I accept payment through PayPal, credit card and Etsy gift card.

Made-to-Order: Many of my pieces are made to order and will take 10-14 days to create and ship. Since each piece is individually made by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike, so you may see very slight differences between your piece and the photograph in my shop.
In-Stock: All items that I have in stock will ship within 3 business days of payment.
Shipping Methods
Less than $100: Items are shipped USPS first class with tracking. Unfortunately, tracking is not available or is unreliable to certain countries. If this is a concern, please get in touch with me and I can arrange registered shipping. While it is a bit slower, it can be tracked and is safer.
More than $100: Items mailed to addresses in the US are shipped Priority insured with tracking
International Shipping: Please look at your country’s customs fees, taxes and duties to avoid unhappy surprises. These costs are your responsibility. I am not registered to collect VAT. You, as a buyer, will be responsible for any associated VAT, local taxes and handling charges that are levied by your government or postal service, when your parcel enters the country and goes through customs.

Do I have to pay VAT taxes, custom and other fees?
Yes. I am not registered to collect VAT. You, as a buyer, will be responsible for any associated VAT, local taxes and handling charges that are levied by your government or postal service, when your parcel enters the country and goes through customs.
Care instructions
To keep your jewelry looking beautiful:
-Remove it when doing household chores, such as washing dishes and using strong cleaning products. Do not wear it while swimming, working out or playing active sports.
-Store your jewelry in bags to prevent scratching and tarnishing
-Before wearing, wipe with the polishing cloth included in your package.
-When putting on a cuff bracelet, place the opening against the side of your wrist and slide around to avoid stretching and squeezing of the metal. Constant stretching and squeezing will fatigue the metal and eventually cause it to crack.
