I love bringing objects to life!

Ever since I can remember, I've been a little obsessed with softness. As a child, I daydreamed about a world made of squishy, soft plush. This might explain why I fell in love with puppets! As an adult, I still keep stuffed animals and plushies around me. I wear fuzzy sweaters and socks, and love nothing more than curling up under my fluffy bedspread. I've always been drawn to Japanese kawaii style as well. I am fond of anime, and Hello Kitty has been a part of my life since toddlerhood! I just love that kawaii has exploded here in the U.S. over the past decade.

When I was 12 I received my first sewing machine. I made my own clothes through high school. Then I moved to New York City and attended fashion school where I studied the business side of fashion while continuing to work on creative projects on the side.

This pattern continued when I switched careers to elementary teaching--I always had creative endeavors, usually on the back burner. During grad school I started my Etsy shop selling laptop covers to make extra money. During this time I also walked dogs, cleaned apartments, worked retail, and had a work study job teaching kids to read. I've been working hard since my first job at age 14 picking up garbage at a public park. I usually throw myself into my work, and enjoy the feeling of a job well done.

More recently, there came a time when I made the decision to focus entirely on creating. I experimented with puppet building, puppeteering, journaling and crafting, creative planning, writing, live-streaming, and making videos (something I've been doing as a hobby since middle school). I found that certain things particularly delight me, such as creating characters and bringing "inanimate" objects to life--essentially animating objects. That is the magic of puppetry and object theater, which blended seamlessly with my love of plushie creatures.

Thus, Tiny Rainbow Productions was born. I aspire to create digital content using my character creations, and share my designs with you via Tiny Rainbow Store on Etsy. Here I intend to sell objects with personalities, plushies, and a line of functional objects inspired by certain idol figures in the real world. At the heart of it, I make things that make people smile.

Armed with my vintage Bernina sewing machine and inspired by fabric textures and colors, I will continue to bring ideas to life using my hands. Handmade creations are truly special, which is why I love Etsy so flippin' much! I've been an Etsy shopper since its inception, and an Etsy seller on and off for 15 years. I hope to pass on the joy I feel for handmade products to you through my shop. Everything I make is made with love and attention to detail, because making people happy is important to me!

Thank you for stopping by!!
