Fiber Arts for Those in Need of Healing

The fiber arts have always been a source of comfort and healing in my life. As a child in a military family, I crocheted when we moved and I didn't know anyone. When I began fostering kittens, I made toys and blankets for them to remember me by when they went to their forever homes. When I became isolated with a chronic illness, I brought my knitting to endless doctors' appointments, often using it as a way to break the ice with a new doctor or fellow patient.

Kitty Mine Crafts is my way of sharing the healing power of the fiber arts with other people. Maybe you have a frightened new kitten who needs to form a bond with you. Maybe you're bed ridden and your only source of self expression is through knitting or crochet. Maybe the rhythmic motion of a spinning wheel helps you cope with the stress in your life. I make my products in the hope that they will bring the healing you need to thrive.
