Announcement   Welcome to my shop! Here, you will find a selection of my photography and fractal artwork.

I’m eternally amazed at how spectacular the everyday can be, and I try to capture this in my art – whether that be in revealing the unexpected beauty of pocket change when lit by candlelight or in presenting the sensual patterns of simple water droplets. Even my more fantastical artwork tries to play upon this. Here, you might find a cougar arising out of an ocean’s wave or a dragon amidst van Gogh’s “Starry Night”.

About My Latest Work - "Frozen Voices" Series
With each stroke of an artist's hammer, raw stone falls away to reveal every wrinkle and curve of his final vision. With no thought of the ache in his back or the stiffness in his joints, he strives on, hoping his hands will hold true to the end. Here, every moment matters, as the stone takes shape into a piece that will forever draw each spectator into its heart. If the sculptor succeeds, that heartbeat will match the viewer's own - reaching into the depths of grief, the strain of anticipation, or perhaps the elation of new life. With this series, I hope to help you become reacquainted with some of these stone heartbeats. As you re-imagine the call of each gently curving back, bowed head, and soft embrace, it is my hope that you may be swept away by the voices of these stones frozen in time.

Check out my Facebook page at: facebook.com/KiwiokieStudio. I'll be adding glimpses into my new pieces, and from time to time, discount codes and promotions as well.

About

The Unexpected

My parents gave me my first camera when I was five, and I carried it with me everywhere. Even at that early age, I was already in love with the way you can bring someone else into the very heart of a moment through art. In many ways, I’m still the five year old child who spent her early years snapping film shots of everything she could find.

I love to create art that can take you into another world - whether that be one of fantasy and imagination or simply one of viewing ordinary objects in a way you may have never thought of before. I’m never happier than when my work helps someone to see the world in a new and unusual way.

While the bulk of my work is still in photography, I have begun to branch out into other forms of art such as fractal work. Most of my fractal pieces are part of my foray into the fantastical, and I hope you may find in them a brief escape from the routines of the day and a reminder that anything can happen-- at least in your dreams.

Shipping
For international buyers: As it is difficult to determine international shipping rates for all countries ahead of time, I have decided to charge this flat shipping rate. In many cases, I have found that shipping is actually more than the rate listed. However, if your actual shipping costs prove to be less than this amount, I will happily refund you the difference.
