Beautiful plates! I'm giving these as a bridal shower gift and I think it's the perfect, unique gift. Also, a great shopping experience with Chris. My email was answered quickly and the plates were made and sent in time for the shower - very much appreciated!

This piece is so beautiful! I recently bought a bright blue teal Moroccan trellis contemporary rug. It's beautiful and works well with the neutral tones in my place. I've been scouring around for pieces to accent the rug. I came across this tray and thought about how stunning it would look on display. Chris' piece did not disappoint! It is so well-crafted. It's just subtly so beautiful and contemporary. Chris is also timely, responsive, and nice! Plus, he added a bonus teal piece of glass. The whole experience was good!!!

About

Color, color and more color

In 2002 my daughter and I were struggling to get along during those crazy teenage years (hers not mine!). A Doctor suggested we do something together so we tried taking a stained glass class. We would drive to and from the class without speaking or her not speaking to me is the more correct version. The minute we got into class though all that melted away as we both struggled away learning to cut glass, lead, design and work side by side. I fell in love with all the color and purity of glass and the minute I saw the kiln and kiln formed glass, caning, and hot glass work it all of it became an addiction.
I then bought a 28" kiln (yes, without research or thinking it through!) had it delivered to our garage, my poor husband was quite surprised! The obsession with glass began...
I created my own line of jewelry and housewares and sold them at the New York Gift Show for several years. My influences are and always have been all things vintage with special interest in the 60's and 70's style of home decor, glass, clothing, jewelry. I even wore my great grandmothers green cashmere dress for my senior photo in High School... Not the most popular of kids!
These days I am more focused on large sculptural work and creating "one offs" but still have the passion to create everyday!

Hello! Started my business in 2002... Got my own kiln and started making more stuff than I could keep in my little shop. I feel a true peace and joy when I walk through my studio door. i would really like to keep my business going so I am always looking for another way to get the word out. I love glass and all the versatility it brings, so many things you can do with it! Glass is over 6000 years old and continues to grow and become more interesting with each artist that enters the field and contributes to it. Love the color and feel, cold yet warm and vibrant at the same time!
Thanks for the support of me and Kiwi Studios!
