Announcement   Welcome to my Etsy shop. I've gotten lots of orders for protest pieces since the new administration took office and I'm busy stamping away. My last name translates as "little warrior" which turns out to be quite appropriate under these circumstances. If there is a custom piece you want send me a convo and I will get back to you.

I've been a jeweler for about 20 years and began to also work with paper 5 years ago. I make a lot of different things because I can't seem to turn off the designing part of my brain. Every piece is made by me while my cats and family visit in my studio. If you have any questions, or suggestions please send me a message -- I'll be happy to hear from you!

About

How I Used My Yale Degree

I started Karen Krieger Metals in 1994, and discovered a love for studio life and object making. I would happily sit quietly at my bench, working for hours, oblivious to the life around me. In my almost 20 years of work, with the help of my husband, I've made a great variety of objects including picture frames, mirrors, jewelry, table top and gift items. The beauty of making things is that you can always change what you're doing and make something else. Some might call this a lack of focus -- but we had too many ideas to follow a narrow path.

As a result, we have an eclectic mix of stuff that we still make and sell, and limited quantities of out-of-production items. Some of it's fun, some of it's classic, some of it is pretty and some is experimental. All of that mix reflects my love of clean lines, neat borders, careful construction and ordered detailing. I hope you enjoy looking through my shop and finding the perfect gift for you or someone you care about. Come back and visit to see what's new and what we've been making.

I am a self-taught metal-smith/jeweler and have been making stuff for a long time. We recently moved and I found tucked away many pieces I had made years ago. My shop is a collection of these pieces along with more recent work. It's fun to see how my work evolved over time and the changes from when I first started to now. I hope you find something here that entertains, delights and makes you happy.

Returns and exchanges
I hope you are satisfied with everything you purchase but if there is a problem please let me know within 10 days of receipt so we can work out an exchange or a refund. If you return something it must be received in the condition it was shipped. I inspect every piece before packing but some things get by me and for the time being I'm blaming it on working long hours and being a mom!
Payment
I take direct credit card payment and Etsy gift cards. If you fall in love with one of my pieces and need to set up a payment plan over time please let me know and we can try to work something out.

Pennsylvania residents will be charged sales tax.
Shipping
For US customers: I generally ship your items using regular or priority mail through the US post office unless you request another method. Items over $95. will automatically be insured for their full value. Shipping to most US destinations should take 3 - 5 business days. The post office is a bit of a distance from my studio so I try to only go once a week.

At the moment I am not shipping to international customers.
