Drums and Jewels

I started making jewelry in 2002 with materials I had acquired over the years. Some were pieces of art in themselves, like the antique poker chips in my "Beginner's Luck" series. Some were discoveries I made while exploring local and foreign markets for drum making supplies, drum-making being my main occupation. I already had a well equipped shop in place so it took only a few additions and several months of metal smithing lessons to get me started in the field.

Since then I have made limited collections of jewellery using precious metals, leather, cinematic film and found objects as well as commissions including one-of-a-kind pieces for art shows, merchandise for music festivals, favors and crucifixes for baptisms, rings and crowns for weddings.
