Hi, my name is Ailsa. I live on the East Coast of Australia, on a hill between a a rainforest and a string of beautiful beaches. I try to see the colours in everything I do.

I have a passion for fibre crafts and the ethos of the handmade work. I love colour and luxurious fibres, especially silk.

My yarns are hand-painted with quality acid dyes and either kettle dyed or steamed. They are dried in the Australian sun, and I try to keep water waste to a minimum. I fully exhaust all dyebaths and rinse the yarn carefully to test colourfastness. I can't guarantee the colourfastness under detergent/washing conditions but I can guarantee that the water runs clear when they get rinsed before they leave here.

Every skein is re-skeined after dyeing - this means that the colours are offset. This is important to me as a quality control measure.

I only photograph the actual yarn that is for sale, and the colours are as true as possible on my monitor. Everyone knows that monitors vary, right? But I really try to get the colours as accurate as possible, if you're in any doubt just convo me.

Thank for browsing here, I hope you see a colour and yarn combination you just can't live without, if you have any suggestions for future colourways, I'd love to hear it.

Refunds and Exchanges

I really want you to be happy with your purchase, that's why I describe my products honestly, and photograph as accurately as I can.

However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me and I'm sure we can work something out.

If you do plan to return your yarn, please let me know before you go ahead to the post office. Yarn can only be returned if faulty, not if you just changed your mind. Buyer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
Payment
I prefer payment by Paypal, but Australian customers can use a direct bank deposit method if they prefer.

You don't have to have a Paypal account to pay through Paypal, just a credit card.
Shipping
I ship within three business days of receipt of payment, but usually the very next day.

International/Overseas Destinations:

I am in AUSTRALIA. This means that US (and other overseas) customers will receive their yarn 10-14 days after shipping.

I ship my yarn in tuff bags - and I will happily combine postage costs on items so it works out best for you.

Australian Postage will always be free when the AUD falls below 85 cents.
