Video summary: This is a crash course on "how it's made!" You can see from the video just how small my batches are. Every candle gets individual attention throughout the entire pouring process.

Luxury goods without the luxury prices.

After finishing school and living on a tight budget, I was often disappointed by the inaccessible prices of many major candle companies. Owning nice candles felt like an unattainable luxury that would need to be reserved for the very occasional splurge.

As more time passed and this feeling persisted, I thought, “How hard can it be to make my own candles?” Thus began my research down the rabbit hole that is candle making, and I inevitably fell in love with the blend of science and craftsmanship involved with the creation process.

While I enjoyed burning my own candles at home, I eventually wanted everyone else to experience them as well.

After countless hours spent researching, testing, and gathering feedback, Knit & Wick finally publicly released candles that are crafted from ethically-sourced soy wax and certified clean-burning fragrance oils.

My main line avoids using dyes to maintain their 100% clean-burning status. I work in small batches to coax each individual candle to quality from start to finish, and perhaps best of all, I offer them at accessible prices to allow anyone the opportunity to purchase safe, quality, lasting candles.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

My candles are made from soy wax, which may develop sink holes as they are burned. They may also develop white spots called "frosting." All of these are natural effects of burning soy wax and are nothing to worry about. Before lighting the candle, be sure to trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch to follow safe burning practices.

Care instructions

-Do not burn the candle more than 3-4 hours at a time.
-Trim the wick to 1/4" prior to burning.
