5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely beautiful set of yarn that is colour coordinated going from a plain cream to a dark beautiful navy blue that is still speckled with the base colours. I have never seen a more beautiful coordinated collection like this that spans from a light colour to a very dark colour. Have already started crocheting 🧶 with it! The names of the skeins will put a smile on your face! Love the name of the set too!

Showcasing the North one skein at a time.
Well hello there!
My name is Danielle, I'm a longtime knitter, average spinner, crochet dabbler and indie dyer.
I live in Hay River, a small community in the Northwest Territories. My goal is to showcase the beauty of my home with northern inspired yarns.
Taking my cues from the seasons, wildlife and environment, I dye small batches in my home.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I'm always open to custom orders. If you have something in mind please contact me and we'll work together to create something just for you.
Gift wrapping and packaging
If you're buying for someone else I have different labels I can include that do not include the price. Just include a note in your order and I'll take special care to make it a beautiful surprise.
Shipping charges
Canada Post charges rates based on postal codes and as of right now there's no way to customize a drop down menu for Canadian destinations on Etsy. Because of this I charge a flat rate. If there's a significant difference I'll issue a refund of the difference in the shipping cost once the item is shipped.
Why is my yarn bleeding?
Hand dyed yarn can bleed a little bit once the yarn or finished object is soaking. Certain colours may bleed more than others.
The colours won't fade with special care.
Each batch is soaked in a professional wool wash and rinsed clear before drying, but sometimes things go wrong.
If you're really unsatisfied, that means I may have screwed something up in the dyeing and fixing process.
If that's the case, message me and we'll make sure you're satisfied.
Care instructions
Although some of our yarn is labelled superwash, for best results, I prefer to handwash is cool or lukewarm water.
I use a basin of cool water with a bit of Soak rinse less wool wash.
After soaking, I pour out the water and lay the knit item flat to dry.
