These will be a gift for my future daughter-in-law. She loves the color blue and these are the prettiest dishcloths I've found. Thanks so much.

About

Accessories & Home Decor that Compliment Your Lifestyle

Knittedhome began as an outlet for my finished works but it has bloomed into my favorite career! I've been crocheting since I was 7 + knitting since 14 - now the majority of my life. I've since learned everything else from trial and error + books + word of mouth + the occasional video.

When I sit down to knit something, it is usually to fulfill a need of something. Brainstorming with customers is one of the best ways I find inspiration. Collaborating to fill their needs is a welcomed challenge to flex my creativity + the feedback is priceless. Without it, I wouldn't learn as much as I do.
"two pairs of socks each… camo & denim for my grandson… pink sorbet for my granddaughter…"
Collaboration also ensures they are just the right size:
"My daughter is tall + slender. I need longies that don't look like high-waters on her."
Pinterest + fellow bloggers + Ravelry do a great job, too.

In addition to running my shop out of my home + showing at Art Fairs in NW Ohio, I currently teach beginners how to knit + crochet at my local craft store with online classes in the works. If you are interested in signing up for a class, please check out my website for more details: theknittedhome.com/classes

All my items are crafted with love with the intention of being well-loved. They are meant to take a beating; to be well-worn, treasured, to be washed when needed + handed down for younger ones to enjoy.

Help me decide what items to develop next! Send me a convo or email me: knittedhome[at]gmail[dot]com

I learned to crochet when I was 7 from my Grandmother, mother, & father. At fourteen I learned to knit from my father’s aunt, so crafting runs in the family. However, I never learned to read patterns until I was 23. Instead, I continue to create my own patterns from pictures, physical items, and my own inspirations. My first attempt at selling anything homemade came freshman year in high school, selling purses I designed to my peers. This sparked my interest to sell other items: hats, scarves, & other purse designs.

I like to stick with patterns I've perfected and then leave the choice of colors & some color-patterns up to the customer. If you find you love the style of a certain item but want it in a different color or set of colors, please let me know and I will gladly make it for you. This is how I prefer to operate so I know you are getting what you want. :)

Crocheting & knitting are two of my favorite things to do. Any time I finish a project I'm always looking for another project to take its place. I hate having empty needles, or a hook, and especially idle hands.

I currently buy my yarn at a craft store or yarn shop near me and then crochet/knit everything by hand myself. If washing an item, I would recommend cold water and reshaping, lying flat to dry (especially if it is a heavy item) or you could try hang drying if the item's weight won't overstretch it (like a hat).

Please feel free to contact me with any question, concern, idea, proposal, etc. I'm always open to new ideas & suggestions. Happy Shopping!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Direct Checkout and PayPal are accepted.

Items are processed within 1 to 2 days of payment confirmation, excluding Sundays and US national holidays. If you have any questions about payment or are experiencing issues, please contact me.

*Credit & Debit card Customers - You do not need a Paypal account to pay for your items through Paypal! Choose the Paypal option during checkout. After you submit your order, click the "pay now" button. Scroll down and you will see the option to pay with credit or debit card without having to sign up for a Paypal account. Thank you!
Shipping
I ship orders on Mondays and Thursdays via USPS, First Class and with a tracking number. I will email your tracking number once the item has been shipped. Please convo me if you need an item shipped sooner and/or quicker. I will be happy to get a new quote and send it off to you within a reasonable time frame.

I’d also be happy to ship internationally. Please convo me with an address and I will send you a quote for shipping. Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred. I have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and I am not responsible for those charges. For any additional information please refer to your local customs agency.

My shipping prices include the cost of packaging and shipping supplies. I send my items in recycled brown bags I sew at home to reduce my impact on the earth. If you prefer a new box, please mention so in the Note to Seller. Additional cost may apply.

If you would like your item shipped to an address different from the one listed on your Etsy account, please mention this in the Note to Seller upon checkout.
Refunds and Exchanges
I strive to provide you with quality and pleasure in all items that I make. If, for some reason, you are unsatisfied with your item, please convo me as soon as possible and before leaving feedback so we can work out a better solution. I want all my customers to be happy & proud of their purchases :)

As all items are handmade by me, there will be a few slight imperfections (yarn knots, fuzzies, etc) that make each item unique. However, if the item should be damaged (unraveling, breaks suddenly) within the first 4 weeks of use, please convo me so we can work out either a repair or exchange, depending on the situation. With any fiber craft, natural wear and tear will occur and I cannot be held responsible to replace items after such time.

In general, any unused item may be exchanged within one month of purchase for an item of equal value. All shipping fees and postage costs, original & return, are the responsibility of the customer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember all items are handmade by me so no two items are exactly alike. That’s the beauty of the item! Please allow for slight variances between similar items and colors (due to different dye-lots).

All items are created in a smoke-free environment with one housecat that does like to check out what I am working on from time to time.
