I haven't knitted this outfit yet, but the instructions look like they will be easy to follow, and the diagram on construction is very helpful. I'm glad that the photo is clear enough so I can see the detail. I'll let you know how it turns out.

About

The history of knitting for dolls

Knitting for Dolls was created in 2008 when my good friend, Anne Harriman, approached me about her desire to knit and crochet for her grand-children's dolls. At the time there were very few patterns for dolls available, both on line and in yarn shops. We both started knitting as young children growing up in Norway. The long dark winters with no television and only radio for entertainment, meant that most of us girls started knitting at a young age. Neither one of us had ever knitted for dolls, so it was all new to us, but we had the dolls to use as models, and we had the love of knitting and crocheting to get us going. We both now live in Southern California with the much warmer climate, but we still love knitting and crocheting as much as ever.

Anne is no longer involved in the business, but I continue to create knitting and crochet patterns for American Girl dolls or any other 18" dolls. I have also recently started making patterns for American Girl Bitty Baby doll. This is a labor of love that I hope to continue for a long time.
