Meet the Maker

I'm Liz and I recently got into dyeing yarn. It all started in 2020 when I dyed yarn with avocados, indigo, and black walnut hulls. Ever since then I have been impatiently waiting until I could try out professional acid dyes. Well, now I'm hooked!
All my yarn is mulesing free and is sourced through farms in Argentina and Uruguay, the BFL is sourced through the UK.

Feel free to follow me on Instagram at @knitting_lizard_fibers to see more about my yarn dyeing and knitting.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my little shop. I dye in my free time on nights and weekends as the weather permits since my dye space is outside.

Care instructions

While some yarn may be superwash and technically machine washable, I still recommend to hand wash for best results. Soak yarn or finished garment in lukewarm water with gentle wool wash, rinse as needed, and lay flat to dry after gently squeezing out excess water.

Some dye may bleed during the first wash, especially if the yarn was dyed with natural dyes like indigo.
