About

Living in chronic pain can be a challenge. And that's exactly how I see my chronic illness: A challenge.

I started knitting as a pastime during the days and weeks the pain was so much that I couldn't do anything more then sit on the couch in a dark room listening to music, books, or watching shows. At first it was just so I had something to do with my hands, and that learning something new kept my brain active, and me interested. But it grew to something more. I started knitting washcloths, slowly, and with just boring patterns--simply stockinette stitches, or maybe a stripe or two. But I started winging it, making up more patterns, and knitting 3-4 washcloths a day, on the bad pain days.

I learned to love knitting, and I loved making my own patterns, and finally, after making many, many, many washcloths, I decided it was time to try something more difficult, and switched to blankets, and hats, and more, and learned to love large knitting needles and thick yarn--especially wool.

Knitting is more than just a pastime now. It's more than just a hobby. It's a passion. And I want to share this glorious yarn, these wonderful creations, with you.
