Welcome to Lady Dye Yarns Etsy Shop!
What I do: Lady Dye Yarns, LLC is an eco-friendly yarn business that creates vibrant and colorful hand-painted yarns and accessories that are inspired by street art. As the owner of Lady Dye Yarns, Diane spends her time promoting Lady Dye Yarns at various art venues and teaches fiber arts classes in the Greater Boston community. She is been a knitter for the last 11 years, and a dyer, spinner and crocheter for seven years.
Message from Diane aka “Lady Dye”
I have spent several years promoting my yarn at craft events in the Boston area as well as teaching knitting at various venues. I want to spend more time promoting my work through social media and creating a strong movement on the East Coast yarn bombing community. The West Coast has a very strong representation in yarn bombing, particularly in San Francisco. Actually, San Francisco is known for their thriving yarn bombing community whereas New York has been the centerpiece of graffiti art. With this effort, I am continuing to build Lady Dye Yarns into a recognizable local brand in Boston, and now I’m ready to move to the next level. I will be selling my yarn wholesale, starting with yarn shops in the New England area and eventually branching out nationally. I’m very proud of the quality and niche of my product, and I’m ready for the rest of the world to share my love of knitting with Lady Dye Yarns!

5 out of 5 starsFast and easy transaction although color differential between this skein and the second skein I bought, advertised as dyed at the same time, was so substantial that I could not knit a project that required more than 1 skein.

5 out of 5 starsFast and easy transaction and lovely yarn, although the color differential between the two skeins I purchased, which were advertised as dyed at the same time, was very substantial. No way I could knit a project that required more than 1 skein as a result.

When the going gets tough...the tough get knittin'
“Color breathes life into my soul and creates this fulfilling energy in my work. I can’t imagine a world without color. I embrace my energy and color schematics through reflecting on artists such as Georgia O’Keefe, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, and graffiti artists. When you merge colors together you create one of kind creations that are hard to replicate which makes Lady Dye hand-painted yarns stunning.” ~Diane
My story is that have always been passionate about color, art, dyeing and fiber. I worked a full -time job in which I was not completely happy with so I decided to make the change in my life and focus on what I am most passionate about and that is dyeing yarn, teaching people to knit, creating knitwear designs, and playing with colors. I couldn't be happier!
