Working in a variety of media throughout his career, including painting, printmaking, and drawing, artist Vitali Komarov’s art is characterized by a focus on colors, shapes, a masterful use of light and shadow, and attentiveness to nature and his details. His vision of the world is full of hope, his paintings uplift the spirit and promise new beginnings.
He paints almost every day for the past twenty-five years. He loves nature and walking and enjoys painting directly from nature. Screen printing is his new love. He loves the energy and potential for experimentation found in printmaking.
He was originally interested in oil painting and his new screenprint technique has pushed the limits of what screen printing is capable of. He has pushed the craft of screenprinting into the realm of painterly artworks, so it is hard to even notice that the work is screen printing.
The gallery includes handmade and in-house serigraphs and paintings of landscapes, still lifes, flowers and figures. They are originally designed by the artist from nature only one and unique.
Printmaking technique: The artwork is made in the artist's studio on a screen printing table with a serigraphy technique and consists of three or four color layers. Each layer is painted by me with inks on a photographic transparent film and then manually transferred with four colorful one by one into the paper. Each work is then hand painted.
Printmaking materials: Serigraph in color on archival heavy-weight paper. Then hand painted. Archival paints are water-based and solvent-free and guaranteed not to fade.

The artist is a very accomplished one who has obviously very well crafted his talent and desires to please his patrons. I hope to soon be purchasing another of his creations. I also should mention that considering the distance to the US, delivery was swift!

2 out of 5 starsThe description was deceiving. I thought this was a one of a kind piece, but I do not think so. The cost for this print was more than I desired but not worth the hassel to return. The artist's work is quite a unique style. I only purchase originals as an amateur collector on a budget.

Painting is my life.
Vitaly Komarov is an independent full-time artist creating impressionistic paintings of landscapes, animals, flowers, and everyday objects. He loves nature and walking and enjoyed painting directly from nature. Embedded in the European tradition, he has been influenced by artists of different nationalities, who taught him never to stop learning and to always enjoy life.
Artist’s works are full of life, in which every season offers so many wonderful subjects. His vision of the world is full of hope; his colors are bright, yet sensitive. His works uplift the spirit and promise new beginnings. What really matters to him is to be truthful and simple in conveying his vision to his audience.
Vitaly has been inspired by the works of Vincent Van Gogh and adopted his bright optimistic palette and bold line. Continuing forward, Komarov developed his own style of impressionism with a modern twist. Living in the Czech Republic, Vitaly has been inspired by Andy Warhol, whose parents emigrated from that country in 1914 to the U.S. Vitaly loves Warhol’s originality of composition and the courage seen in his art. French post-Impressionist Paul Cézanne has played a big role in inspiring Komarov’s artistic creativity including the shape of objects, the liveliness of straight lines, and the presence of amazingly colored light in his art.
Although primarily self-taught, Vitaly studied at the Restoration School in Saint Petersburg. Artist lives in the Czech republic but has traveled widely to find inspiration for his work.
