Kook Teflon connecting with haunted pasts n queer icons

I grew up in the Bay Area and was active in the queer core n punk scenes. I began in 1992 publishing zines , which i was documenting the astounding free spirits n young angst of SF n San Jose. Which is how i began with my photography.

As a wild child i would often awake after a long night with not much recollection of events i had attended. I was managing a photo lab and started taking pix of the bands, the crowd n my peers, i realized it was a great way to remember (with age i realized respecting the spirits is a better way)

Since then i have published over 50 copies of zines with titles such as
"No Boys Allowed",
"Cunt Fear",
"Oblivious Nation",
"Cult Caves",
"Harsh Queen".

By the late 90's -2000's i was also documenting events in L.A, NYC,New Orleans, Atlanta, PDX,Seattle.

In 2004 performers began hiring me to attend events, photo shoots n curate .

Around this time i was a stay at home mom and began hand sewing monster dolls. I decided to start creating dolls of some of my favorite icons. My first was of Keith Morris(Circle Jerks) when he received it he went nuts and loved it! I knew i was onto something, next i was creating portrait dolls of local drag queens , punk icons, Twin Peaks characters n beyond.

I moved to Seattle in 2006 and was invited to be merchandise artist for Circus Contraption & Can Can. Also i started to move my images into static form n story telling with a public access show "Ill Famed Spirits" & "Oblivious Nation" which was based around the haunted history of Seattle neighborhoods plus vignettes with my dolls n local performers.

I was raised in a home with a Hungarian mother that was a practitioner n tarot reader, my life path was leading back to these ways for me in Seattle. I was also hired as a ghost tour guide in Pike Place Market and lead over 100 investigations inside the Butter worth Mortuary. I hosted a monthly as a Victorian mourner and would give the audience details of death rituals and mourning. My passion is Haunted History!
often i create dolls through tales i've told or dreamt, i feel its a way to help the spirits stories been told and seen.

I produce n curate many art events w/ live performance, film, visual art, tarot n astro readers across the country. Also i offer spirit doll workshops a few times a year (for more info PM me).

In 2009 my attentions both spiritually n physically were pulled to New Orleans and i soon felt my deep my connection to the Voodoo Spirits & Hoodoo Practices. Thus my journey to the "Here n Now" 2017 embracing all my lessons n teachings and helping others when they are at their cross roads, grieving, changes n beyond.

I constantly work with other
Witches, Shaman,Feminists, Priests, Mediums, Tarot Readers, High Priestesses, Loa, Elders, Artists, Ancestors,
Teachers & Spirits to continue my path and learn all that i can.

My goal is to help others with the up-most compassion, imagination and clarity through Dolls,Capturing their Imagery , One-on-One Spiritual Advice Sessions and Conjure Products.
My vision is to cross-pollinate all the circles of artists, magic workers n performers!
