Love this. Exactly as pictured, and I ordered with the stamped lettering. It's beautiful. Only negative was the long shipping time, and then it arrived later than promised. Otherwise highly recommend!!

About

The best gifts are handmade.

I love the art of books because they are accessible and intimate. Life, nature, colors, patterns and travels give me inspiration for my designs. These days it's my little girl who lets me see things with fresh eyes. Usually I get an idea while we are sketching together and we work on our projects side by side.

I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York but I spent several years in Japan studying the art of papermaking and graduated with a Masters of Fine Art at Osaka University of Art. Kowai kuma (scary bear) is a nickname I had while in Japan because I loved to hibernate in the winter like a bear and I would get kowai without food, sleep or art.

Thank you for supporting handmade and independent artists!
