About me and my jewelry: I have been making jewelry for more than 30 years. It all started in high school, when I had the opportunity to take courses in jewelry making and metalsmithing while growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My glass jewelry designs were born 15 years later while studying furnace glassblowing at a local studio. I became obsessed with working with hot glass and decided to incorporate it into my jewelry designs.
I make each glass bead used in my jewelry one at a time using the lampwork technique. My jewelry is truly unique because I design and make by hand the entire piece (from the glass to the silver setting). In most cases, the photo listed here is not of the actual item you will receive, but I will ship you one just like it either immediately or make the item for you.
I am inspired by color and simple, clean design. My jewelry is contemporary, vibrant with color, yet easy for every day wear!

Colorful, contemporary glass and sterling silver jewelry designed and handmade by Kristin Perkins
I began making jewelry in 1984 as a high school student. At that time, I learned a variety of metalsmithing skills and always knew I would eventually want to make jewelry for a living. However, it was not until fifteen years later, when I learned how to blow glass at a local glass studio, that I found the inspiration for my jewelry that I had been looking for. After that, I taught myself the lampwork technique and started making glass beads to use in my jewelry. This soon evolved into a full time business and it has been ever since.
My jewelry designs express my love for color and simple, clean design. It happens to also be very wearable for many different types of occasions. My customers tell me often how they wear my pieces all of the time and how they receive compliments whenever they do. This makes me very happy. I am honored by how many customers continue to collect my work over the years.
Even though my designs grow and change, I tend to keep some consistent themes making your collection easy to add on to. I also enjoy working with individuals on custom pieces suitable for a special gift or occasion.
Have a look around my shop and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Thank you!

Owner, Creator, Designer
I have been making jewelry since high school where I started a broad education in metalsmithing and jewelry design. After a series of glassblowing classes, I taught myself lampworking and that became the focus of my jewelry line.
Shop policies
All of my listings (as described and in sizes shown) are ready to ship and will be sent out via US First Class Mail within one business day. If you need a size other than what is listed or a certain color change, I will need up to two weeks to complete your order. If you need it sooner, please ask. I may happen to have it in my inventory or I may be able to complete it quicker for you.
Since I make each piece by hand, one at a time, the item you will receive will very closely resemble the photos in the listing but will not be exact. Please allow for minor variations due to the fact that I make my glass and my sterling silver settings entirely by hand. I do not use a single mold in my work for the glass or the silver.
I am often on the road doing art fairs May thru December. If travel will delay your shipment I will e-mail you immediately. I always have access to e-mail and my Etsy shop while traveling. If you have any questions, please send them to me and I will answer them promptly.

Once again, I really want you to be happy with your purchase and stand behind my workmanship. Any issues that arise, please let me know. I have been in business for over ten years and, though it has been extremely rare, customers have come to me needing a repair of jewelry they have purchased from me. In most cases I will do this free of charge.
