About

My life, My desire, My passions

When I was a young girl, my Aunt used to bring a cross stitch tablecloth to the beach to work on. I found my Mom's stash of flosses, needles, and buttons. My sister used to sew clothes on Mom's old White machine. We had a 5&10 in the neighborhood . and so it began!

I began to feel the need to learn handcrafts! Knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, cross stitch, macrame knots. you name it I wanted to learn how. My first embrodied pieces were preprinted potholders, a drawing from a card, a large Mickey Mouse Satin Stitch picture. I knitted a sweater with a zipper for my first knitting project, a seven foot owl planter for my first macrame project, my first needlepoint was a stocking that I had someone design for my nephew. As you can see I don't learn, I jump right on in!

about 30 years ago I jumped in again. This time I signed a lease on a storefront, took $1000 out of my bank account, and bought my first rack of yarn for the little store on New Boston Rd. Gifts and yarn was the prime stock. and then it grew and grew and grew! Needles, supplies, fabrics, a bigger store, wood, ceramics, an even bigger store, fabrics, and much much much more! I keep adding to my stock and add to my abilities. the desire to learn more is evident everyday in my life. and I teach all that I learn to my customers who seem to want more also!

from here it's only going to grow............my job is my passion and my passion fuels my life!
