As Good a Starting Place as Any!

Everyone has to start somewhere, and this is where I'm starting. As I have chosen the path of the "starving artist-scholar," it was obvious that I needed to at least make an attempt at starting my dream job early. I love selling my wares in person and meeting the lovely people who enjoy my little handcrafted treasures, but growing up in the middle of nowhere and then starting college, where I have so little time to go out and set up shop... you can probably imagine how excited I was to find an easy, friendly online place to use when I can't get away for a weekend of in-person selling.

I love Etsy because it gives me an opportunity to share my art with the world without having to sacrifice my study time. My goal with the store is to develop it into something that I can support myself while I'm in college, and hopefully on into the future.

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQs:

Q: Do you do custom orders?

A: Yes! Tell me what you want exactly and I'll answer you directly.

Q: What exactly is a cotton boll? Is it anything like the cotton balls I get at the store?

A: Cotton bolls, which I use in a few of my crafts, are the opened part of the cotton plant that is harvested. The boll holds the raw fiber. There's also a star-like "burr" holding the fiber together. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotton has more info about cotton. So no, a cotton "boll" isn't anything like a cotton "ball". There's a burr attached to the fiber, and the seeds are still inside it too.

Q: Ok... so where do you get them?

A: My dad is a farmer. He grows cotton. I go out during harvest and hand-pick bolls to use for my crafts. Ta-da!

Q: Where can *I* get cotton bolls for my own crafts?

A: From me! *grin* Just tell me and I'll list some for you as a craft supply. Be warned, harvest only happens once a year, so when I run out of bolls, that's the end until next harvest.
