5 out of 5 starsI've just ordered another light green tumbler after receiving my first one on Saturday as it is absolutely beautiful! It has the feel of very fine china and it is perfect for drinking my cappuccino in the morning! Thank you so much, I love it!

5 out of 5 starsI bought from KriKri Ceramics several years ago and was thrilled with the bird lamp finials that arrived. They still enjoy pride of place atop the lamps on the bedside tables in our master bedroom. So, when my sister in Los Angeles needed the right little something for a Moroccan accent table I knew where to go. Artist Kristin Nelson is supremely talented and attentive to detail. She beautifully wrapped the small ceramic vase I ordered for Beth (in gray), printed my note to her exactly and added a graphic, packed the vase carefully, and shipped it immediately. Exceptional.

ceramic vases, because I like to garden too!
Originally I earned a degree in ceramic sculpture and made large sculptural works in clay. I didn't make a pot until about 4 years after graduating. Though I continued to sculpt and show my work in galleries, I also made smaller vessels which I sold in NYC. One day, a window designer for Barneys NY asked if they could use one of my large pieces for a display. In the end, Mrs. Pressman, chief buyer for the Chelsea Passage, asked if I could make a up a group of dishes to sell to sell at barneys instead. I thought it would be just a one shot deal, but that relationship lasted for 15 years!
My first vases were bud vases designed for Barneys Japan. They were decorated in the Kri Kri style which is ornate and whimsical. Today, with VIT, I am working in a simple modern style that focuses more on form than on pattern. VIT ceramics are detailed with with thin white lines. The name "VIT" actually means white in Swedish.
The vase collection has blossomed over the years. I enjoy gardening and I love bringing flowers inside. I've chosen my colors to harmonize with flowers and foliage. The shapes were designed to make small bouquets or single stems look great. I continue to add shapes and colors to this range.
With my handmade ceramics, I aim to bring warmth and beauty into your home.
Each piece is thoughtfully crafted by me in Seattle at Kri Kri Studio.
