I have worked as a pediatrician in Denver for the last 15 years; I am semi-retired now, but still volunteer one day a week. Five percent of my sales benefit non-profits helping families in Denver. I am currently partnering with Judi's House, an organization in Aurora, CO founded in 2002 that provides grief care to children and their families in the Denver Metro area at no cost. I personally have experienced the loss of my father, uncle, and niece in the past year, and feel that it is important to support this kind of service in my community.

I offer free first class shipping in the US via USPS for items $35 and over. If you require expedited shipping, I will be glad to arrange it with the shipper of your choice (USPS, Fedex, or UPS). Please let me know that you require expedited shipping at the time of your purchase, and I can bill you for the extra shipping fees prior to shipping your item. When I have received the fees for expedited shipping, I will send the item.

I’ve bought several of Krista’s pieces and I love every one! As usual, the picture did not do justice to the quality and craftsmanship of her work. I love the thin design of the cuff that allows the focus to be on the beautiful stone. When the light reflects off of the stone, it has so many lustrous details. High quality stones make all the difference!

I am a semi-retired pediatrician and metalsmith in Denver, CO making jewelry to add a bit of color and edge to your day.

I have always enjoyed jewelry—both wearing it and making it. It has always allowed me to add a pop of color or an edge to my appearance (much needed when working in the clinic or hospital sometimes). I dabbled in beading staring in my teens and and precious metal clay in my 20’s and had even sold my work. However, when my husband bought me an intro to metalsmithing class as a Mother’s Day gift in 2008, I was hooked. I took classes off and on for several years while working both a full and part time load as a pediatrician.

Due to changes in the needs of my family, I backed off from my clinical practice in 2019 and decided to lean into my art. I launched Krista Lavonas Designs in December of 2019 and haven’t looked back. I now enjoy hand fabricating well-made pieces that will help you to add that pop or edge you are wanting to your look. And I wanted to continue to help serving the families I have helped care for, so five percent of each purchase goes to a non-profit serving families in the Denver metro area. All of the organizations I have partnered with are ones from which I have seen families receive great benefits. So know that your purchases will be supporting both a small, woman owned business, and terrific non-profits.
