About KrisVintageClothing
Living the dream...
Many years ago I planned on opening a Children's book store much like the one in "You've Got Mail" with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, after watching many small book store close I decided to change my focus towards vintage. I have always loved vintage clothing and accessories, I collected vintage hats in high school and had them scattered about my dorm room while in the military.
After the death of a distant family member, closets full of vintage clothing were found and the dream to open a vintage shop was born. I am a work at home Mom of 4 soon to be 5 children. Being able to work from home and give vintage pieces a new life is all a part of living the dream. On my days off from working at home I volunteer at our local food pantry twice a week and a soup kitchen twice a month.
Welcome to my shop!

~~~~~~ About Vintage Sizes ~~~~~ Fashion sizes have changed a great deal over the years. Although a vintage item may be marked as large, that does not necessarily mean it will fit a MODERN LARGE. To ensure you are getting a garment that will fit you, it is best to use the numeric measurements list.
All measurements listed for the vintage item are the actual fabric measurements of the garment . All measurements are taken in inches. In order to assure proper fit garments measurements must be slightly larger than your actual body measurements. If you do not know you body measurements, the easiest way to determine if a garment will fit you is to find a similar garment you may already have. Lay the garment on a flat surface. Make sure all buttons, zippers, etc. are fastened. Get your tape measures.
Bust/Chest Measurement
Measure from underarm to underarm. Double that measurement to determine the bust/chest measurement for them garment. For example, if a garment measure 18 inches, double that number for a bust/chest measurement of 36 inches.
Waist Measurement
Measure across the natural waistline of the garment (approximately 5 inches below the bust line) again, double this measurement.
Hip Measurement
Hip measurements should be taken approximately 7 inches below the waistline. Measure across and double. Garments listed with a hip measurement of “Full” will usually fit most hip sizes.
Shoulder Measurement
Measure straight across garment from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. (Do not double this measurement).
Inseam Measurement
Measure from crotch of pants down to the hem or cuff or inner leg (Do not double this measurement).
Length Measurement
Pants or skirts, measure from top hem or bottom hem. Dresses, sweater, shirts, coats, etc. measure from the highest point of the shoulder down to the bottom hem. (Do not double this measurement).
Sleeve Length Measurement
Measure from the top of the sleeve (at the shoulder seam) to the bottom of the cuff. (Do not double this measurement).
