Kevin is great. Though he made totally understandable mistake with a custom part of my request he was willing to accept the return, make the fix and ship it back to me free of charge. I would have given the box a 5/5 but I was hoping the drawers had runners that kept them sliding out evenly and wouldn't fall out as easily. It's hard to access the last compartments without the drawer falling out. If you're okay with those two cons, it's a great buy.

Quality Is Not A Luxury

I never imagined I would end up working with my hands. Though I studied to be an engineer I gained a greater appreciation for the machinists that actually made things. I found in wood a material that I could learn to work with on my own. A piece of wood can have its own unique character and beauty so it is not just about forcing your own ideas onto the material but a partnership with it.

I made my first jewelry box for my sister eight years ago. I have learned a lot since then but still put the same level of care into my work as the first time.

I believe we as craftspeople have a duty to make our work affordable. It's easy to sit back and bemoan a disposable society, but you also have to give people an alternative between the mass produced piles of termite puke with a picture of wood on them and something extraordinary that no one can actually afford to buy. In most of my work I put aside what is fun for me to do and just focus on making something of quality without any ego involved. I do other unique designs where I get to enjoy myself, but I still try to keep things affordable.

Questions about your order?
Please if you have any problems with your order.
I will accept returns for the full purchase price within 30 days. If the problem is due to my error (Defective item, wrong item, etc) I will also refund the shipping price. You are responsible for the return shipping, which must be done by a trackable means. Deposits are nonrefundable.

I cannot refund the full amount on engraved items but due to the nature of the modular system it's only the lid that needs to be replaced so they can be returned minus a flat $20 fee.
Most orders ship the next day. I generally use priority mail for smaller items and UPS for larger items. A very few small items can ship 1st class. Larger items will require additional shipping charges to Hawaii and Alaska, please contact me for details.

Shipments valued over $250 will require a signature, please be sure someone will be available to sign at the delivery address and that this address is the one given on your Paypal payment, or that you can pick up the package at your UPS facility.

Items damaged in shipment are my problem not yours, though you will have to be involved in filing the insurance claim. I pack extremely well so damage is very unlikely.

Please keep in mind I do pack according to UPS specifications of at least 2 inches of padding on the larger items. In some cases dimensional weight does apply. Should the calculated shipping charge end up excessively higher than the actual shipping, for example if you live in the northeast, I will refund the difference.

I generally do not ship internationally because of the prohibitive costs with the weight of my items. If you are overseas and absolutely must have something, you may contact me and I will decide on a case by case basis.
