Announcement    Welcome! I create all of my jewelry by hand, one piece at a time, primarily using PMC Precious Metal Clay with natural items scavenged while hiking in the Adirondacks, antique or vintage finds, and shed skin from my snake.

The Metal Clay I use is made from pure silver particles recovered from the waste stream, mixed with a binder of water and plant-based organic materials to form a malleable clay which becomes .999 fine silver when kiln-fired.

Thank you for visiting, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or requests.

About

Creating jewelry for fellow lovers of nature and the unusual

Jewelry has fascinated me ever since I was a little girl rifling through my Nana's many boxes of treasures, waiting with excitement as she unwrapped her special pieces not meant for tiny hands. After a basic metalsmithing class 35 years ago, I began making my own beaded jewelry, eventually selling locally and then online.

I create all of my jewelry at home, by hand, according to what speaks to me or has personal meaning - themes of interest, favorite colors, or textures I find beautiful. I'm inspired by the beauty of nature, my love for animals, a connection to my materials and process, and a desire to provide quality work and service. I use a variety of techniques and materials, and have been working with silver Precious Metal Clay* for the last 9 years, often making my own molds of antique finds or natural elements collected on hikes with my husband. You may not find an abundance of items or trends here, but my hope is that you will find something which speaks to you as well.

* You can learn more about Precious Metal Clay at the bottom of this page.

Frequently asked questions
What is Precious Metal Clay?

The Precious Metal Clay [PMC] I use is made from pure silver particles recovered from scrap jewelry, electronics, x-rays, photographic film, and industrial waste. These particles are mixed with a binder of water and plant-based organic materials to form a malleable clay which becomes .999 fine silver when kiln-fired. I fire each piece in my home kiln for 2 hours at the optimum temperature for maximum strength.
