About

MOB: Mother Of Bride Starts Wedding Business

My oldest daughter was very particular (and cost conscious) about her own wedding in October of 2011, so we made all of her decorations by hand such as: sand/shell centerpieces, starfish and ribbon decorations atop hanging lanterns, starfish wedding wands, sand dollar program/fans, message-in-a-bottle table assignments, place cards, bar and food menus, and an interactive guest book. My daughter would send me ideas several times a day and we kept them in a giant notebook. Eventually she narrowed down the items and we finalized the colors/designs. We received many compliments from guests on our handcrafted wedding items and my daughter's destination beach wedding was exactly what she had always dreamed of.

After the wedding, my daughter suggested I sell similar items on ETSY. She helped me set up my shop in the Spring of 2012 and thus was born iDo by ksoldo.

About a year after I opened my ETSY shop I was contacted by a brewery in Kimah, Texas. They asked me to develop beer tasting mats for several of their events. When I completed their orders, I realized there was a market for tastings and began developing a new line of products. To date I have Beer, Bourbon, Cigar, Margarita, Moonshine, Scotch, Tequila, Whisk(e)y, & Wine Tasting printable files. I am also available to design for private businesses (with logos and to your specifications) and events as well.

My personal goal is to customize wedding or event items for my clients to ensure the item(s) purchased are exactly as desired. I offer instant downloads, ready to use items, and some products that are completely custom based on your colors, theme, and style. Pricing depends on the complexity of the task.

I have great customer service and go above and beyond to communicate during all phases of the process. I love my ETSY business and am proud to be part of important events in the lives of my customers.

For this reason, everything I make, I create as if I were making it for my own son or daughter or my own best friend.

Thanks so much for visiting my shop and allowing me to tell you my story.

I have always been a fan of the arts from the time I was in elementary school to the present. (1st Proud Moment - 2nd grade - I was awarded second place by famous painters Jamie & Andrew Wyeth for my sponge painted fall trees. That's when I knew I loved art!)

I was an elementary school teacher for eleven years and taught kindergarten through third grade. Then we moved around a lot and I stayed home with kids for a while. Later I went back to school for Graphic Design.

My oldest daughter was married in October of 2011 and I put my Graphic Design skills to good use. I created all of the wedding items, signs, and decorations for her special day. During the wedding I received many compliments on the handmade items. Later, my daughter suggested I open an ETSY shop to sell similar items to busy brides/grooms who do not have the time to create them. So in Spring 2012, my daughter helped me set up iDo by ksoldo.

Fast forward to 2016, and I am now planning another wedding for my middle daughter! I really enjoy this creative process and making customized items for my daughters, brides and grooms, and for your memorable events.
