A Katy and her Squid
KT and the Squid was born in November of 2009. I started my Etsy shop selling finished crochet hats. In November 2012 I discovered I LOVE designing and haven't looked back. In 2018 I added hand dyed yarns to the shop
My specialty is women's garments. My goal is to design flattering clothing that;s simple enough for the novice crocheter.
The name KT and the Squid came by accident. When my first daughter was born my husband nicknamed her Squid. Imagine a newborn baby...You get it. When I named my business in 2009 it was just me and the Squid at home so I found it fitting. I figured I'd change it later but it stuck. As time went on I realized it was perfect.

If you have any questions about my patterns please do not hesitate to ask. I will try my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
All items come from a smoke free, pet friendly home.
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
I don't accept cancellations
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
- Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Please understand you are purchasing a pattern and NOT a finished item.
Physical Items: If you are not 100% satisfied please let me know within 7 days of receiving your yarn. I will gladly refund your order. A refund will be issued once I receive the returned yarn. All returned items must be in original condition and free of any odors.
Payment
Payment is required before patterns can be downloaded.
Physical items will not ship until payment has cleared.
Orders for patterns can not be canceled or refunded.
Shipping
If for some reason a PDF needs to be emailed I can only send it to the email that is listed on the original receipt.
Physical items will ship via USPS. Shipping times will vary so be sure to check the listing. I am not responsible for any additional international fees. I am not responsible for any lost packages. In the unlikely event that your package does not show up you will need to contact your post office. All packages are insured as well.
Please make sure your shipping address is correct. I can NOT stop a package after it has been shipped.
