He has arrived, love it. Thank you for going to extra mile and saving him from a gallery sale :).

I love this mug and this shop so much. This is my second purchase and I'll definitely be back.
From art teacher, to mother to truly a practicing artist in clay.
I've taught art for years - everyone one from High school kids to tiny pre-K students to adults with disabilities. Along the way I always had my hands in some art or craft that I often gave as gifts or even sold on a small scale.
While teaching at a wonderful private school, the director of visual arts came to my room and said that he was ordering wheel for the upper school clay room and he'd be happy to order one for me and have me pay the school back slowly so I'd get the discount . . . He knew that I'd concentrated in ceramics in college and he himself was a potter. He making the effort to do that is how I really got my own clay studio going.
Since then my work has evolved from figurative salt and pepper shakers to "face mugs" and owl cups. I sell in galleries and here on etsy. I'm a well recognized artist locally in a heavily fine craft town of Asheville.
I have to say that Kung Fu Clay (my son named the business) provides a product that you won't see ANYWHERE else. One of a kind treasures make you feel special while holding and sipping from.

I signed up for a summer study at a local community college in 1989. I wound up changing my major from Archeology to Art Education with a concentration in ceramics. Clay is my absolute passion and I'm simply not complete without it.
