Life is a collage...
Welcome to my world of Jane Austen journals, unique journals, Fairy Art and paper whimsies! Discovering how to make a digital collage was a eureka moment for me. I had been dabbling in paper collage, but found I was loath to part with any I made due to the precious nature of the components: all the wonderful phrases from old books and bits of old letters, not to mention old photos. I simply could not bring myself to destroy these ephemeral ties to the past. Learning how to collect all these bits and pieces and gather them together in Photoshop felt like a miracle! When I discovered brushes in Photoshop, I thought I would cry.
Using my extensive collection of 19th century fashion plates, scans from old, old letters, books and periodicals, I love to create new pictures from compilations of old ones. If it isn't obvious from looking at my shop, my passion lies with the novels of Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, poets like Emily Dickinson and anything that feels lovely and feminine and pretty and PINK! I also collect old tin type photos and cabinet photos of Civil War era children.
Right now, I am addicted to the vintage photographs of children mentioned above and love depicting them as fairies "found" and preserved in the "Naturalist's" library. Each fairy comes with their own unique story. I am also currently creating many one of a kind items in mixed media using paper, thread, metal bits, charms and rhinestones. These items are all one of a kind and will come ago, so please visit often if you are interested.

My first love was ... pink. I branched out to pale green, ecru and french blue. My second love was books. My third love was crinolines. Unfortunately, I was born in the wrong century. So, I have combined my love of all three here in my shop.
My wonderful husband and superb shipping department. Could not do this without him!
