Welcome to the world of books with wooden memory.
Here, really old wood and recycled paper create a special space for your words, images, or sketches.
You can find also other unique objects created from pieces of old furniture or local wood.
For the book covers, we use pieces of damaged, antique furniture that have already served for generations and were destined to be burned or chipped.
It is Hana who personalizes the covers with carvings or completes it with authentic accents. Each cover is unique and one of a kind. .
All books she binds using mostly recycled paper as reuse is base of Lacuna's philosophy.
Rúben enjoys creating perfectly crafted, functional pieces like boxes or serving trays out of local wood or fragments of old wood.
Lacuna work is also collaborating with residents of a local organization that helps homeless and socially fragile people. Some of our wooden covers are now being sanded with care and dedication by these men with troubled life history.

4 out of 5 starsThe quality of the 2 cook books I ordered was very good,it looked just like the picture,it did meet my expectations,I would have given it 5 stars but it took over a month to get them and they set at the same location for about a month before the moved,but I'm so glad I received them 2 weeks before Christmas I was starting to wonder if I would ever get them!
