The ocean is my inspiration, but I am truly grateful for YOU!

-If you found your way to me and my shop, you are probably a beach lover too!
I live in a really remote area with lots of protected habitats and natural beauty, so it's easy to find daily inspiration. All too often I have too many ideas and too little time to bring them all to life. I grew up in the big city and it was quite a culture shock when I moved to the beach since that fast paced lifestyle just does not exist here, everyone is on beach time. All of the items that you will find in my shop or in the shops that I sell to around the world are all handmade by me. My two hands make everything and while I may have help in my studio with packaging and shipping from time to time, you can rest assured that you are buying a truly genuine handmade item that is not mass produced somewhere else. Every customer is important to me, whether you are buying a large wholesale order for a retail establishment from me, or buying a single sale item. I want you to know that I am grateful to you and you are supporting a local artist and her family that in return, supports other local artists and businesses...and for that...I THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, because every sale, no matter how small, allows me to do what I love and support others in return!

I really love creating one of a kind pieces and weaving a little bit of the beach into them. I am out along the coastline everyday looking for whatever is left at low tide. The local barrier islands are my favorite spots for treasure hunting since most of them are uninhabited and protected. I travel by boat, as most of the local islands are bridgeless. In fact, many of my pieces are created right on the beach or in the boat. It may sound crazy but I love the rough weather because the sea churns up all kinds of stuff and the rougher it is, the more I am out there (as you can see in my photo!). When we have tropical storms and hurricanes I am literally out there pounding the shoreline.

Certain times of year we get specific little treasures like sand dollars, sea urchins and starfish. I never collect anything that is alive, no shells with creatures or stranded starfish or sand dollars, those are always thrown back. I feel very blessed to live here and I believe that even the smallest of lives matter. It is important to preserve and protect all life, and all that the ocean has to offer.

When I'm not on the beach, I am in the local waterways and rivers. We have some pretty amazing ancient forests and rivers that were once used as massive trading routes and for transporting various goods. Later, railroads linked the waterways and bays to other cities and that's how the area grew. There are still remnants of the old river ferry landings, docks and railroads that are fantastic for getting your hands dirty and digging for history. Every Spring the rivers flood and when the waters recede we literally go up into the remote areas and you can collect bits of pottery, dishes, glass, bottles and even the occasional arrowhead right off the banks. In some places the water rises so high that you can pick beautiful pieces of driftwood from above your head in the trees that the turbulent waters have smoothed into natural pieces of art and dispersed into the cypress trees when the river is at peak flood level.

I love to shop local! If I am not out in nature, I am searching local beach markets and estate sales for vintage beads and artisan treasures. To me it's important to shop local and support your community rather than buying cheap stuff in bulk from other places. There's nothing wrong with the occasional strand of beads from a big name store, but shopping for vintage beads and shopping in local shops and markets is just more special and it's a wonderful way to support your neighbors and to bring something old back to life again. The closest chain stores are about an hour or more from where I live, but there are some fantastic local bead shops and surf shops... and I am slightly addicted to all things that sparkle (let's just say the owners know me on a first name basis!).

I try to offer a large selection of all prices in my shop. Whether you are looking to purchase a "one of a kind" necklace or need multiples of some of my more affordable beaded earrings for bridesmaids or a selection for yourself, I want everyone to feel like they can find something special, that is truly handmade with love at a really affordable price. It is important to me to create a quality, handmade item that not only looks pretty, but makes you feel pretty every time you put it on!

I hope you find a treasure of your own and once again - Thank You!

I was once a city girl, only to find that my soul was always at sea, a nature lover in every aspect, living and exploring the waterways in my remote location along the forgotten coast. It's hard not to find inspiration in the beauty of the ocean.

Shop policies

Hello and welcome!

It is my philosophy that everyone deserves to treat themselves every now and then and not feel guilty about that :) I think everyone should have a little place to shop and get a great little item for themselves or someone special at an affordable price!

Below you will find all the answers and information for the most commonly asked questions:

General on Shipping (Please see the "shipping policy" section for further shipping info)

A little bit of general info about orders, delivery times and refunds...
Most orders are shipped within hours of when you place your order. All orders are shipped within 1-3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) Monday through Friday. The delivery time generally takes 3-7 business days in the US (Alaska and Hawaii sometimes take a little longer). Overseas shipments vary, I am more than happy to ask for an estimated time for you, just let me know when you place your order...and remember things may be delayed going through customs. Please make sure that your address on paypal and Etsy are the same or you specify a delivery location (if different) in your "message to buyer" when you place your order.

Items marked "FREE SHIPPING WAI" (free shipping with another item) and all regular priced items, ship for free when purchased with another item. If you purchase 2 or more of these items, then you are charged shipping for one item in your cart and the following items will ship for free after the first.

*Please note that "free shipping with another item" is not the same as free shipping when you purchase 2 or more items.
For example: If you purchase 2 items, shipping is still charged on 1 item since they can't BOTH be the "other" item.

You can check the status of your order under your "purchases" section, it will be marked "shipped" as soon as the courier picks it up. Your "shipping notification" email is sent later, after the courier returns for the next deliveries, normally on the following business day.

I do my very best to keep prices as low as possible, so you can get a great deal even after shipping has been added into the equation. We average only 1 in 7000 items that get lost in the mail, all of which have been distant overseas orders. I can provide US residents with a tracking number for an extra $1.00 on your total order, but you must request this PRIOR to placing your order and I will post a tracking listing for you to add to your cart otherwise it will be shipped first class and a label number, specific to your package will be provided as proof of shipment. For hygiene reasons (because no one wants to purchase an items that may have be worn by someone else) ALL SALES ARE FINAL. This helps to keep the prices low for everyone, however if you are unhappy for some reason or a mistake was made, I will do my best to provide you with exceptional service and make it right, which may or may not include a refund of the purchase price (minus shipping expenses, which is not only postage) or another item of equal or lesser value once you return the shipped item back to me.

If you have any questions at all, you will probably find all the answers (and then some), in the shop policies section. I have posted the answers to the most common questions because I literally receive hundreds of emails and inquiries daily between Etsy and the retailers that I supply. During holidays, wedding season and wholesale orders of high volume, It can sometimes take me a while to answer each and every question personally, so I have created that section for you, organized in easy categories, so you won't have to wait for a response or search too hard to find an answer :)

Please note that if you need special services during the holidays, such as priority shipping, next day air, insurance, tracking outside of the US, etc. - please convo me so that I can give you a quote and add these service prices to your order. Otherwise they will be shipped standard.

Watch for your status to change to "shipped" under your "purchases" section. Orders are shipped within 1-3 business days from the time we receive payment (Most orders are shipped on the same day :D ). Delivery notification is sometimes emailed up to 24 hours after shipment when our courier returns on the next day with receipts from the prior day. Delivery is normally 3-5 days, however APO/ FPO boxes and overseas shipments do experience a delay due to customs and sometimes weather.

I am happy to provide wholesale orders upon request and currently supply many local beach shops and inland retailers with a variety of items.

All orders over $150 (total including shipping) will qualify as a wholesale order and if you would like to receive a 30% discount whether you are a repeat shop owner purchasing for restock or placing a one time large purchase.

** You Must contact us prior to purchase - minimum purchase $150 **

For current and new retail establishments as well as large orders over $150 contact me if you would like to place a wholesale order. The wholesale order minimum is $150 and I will be happy to provide you with a 30% discount wholesale code (a unique code created for use only by you for a limited time). Wholesale codes must be used at time of purchase and may not be applied after a purchase. Wholesale codes may not be combined with other discounts. Wholesale codes are ONLY available on single, combined purchases of $150 or more (they may not be used, for example, on two seperate $75 orders).

I will be happy to provide you with multiples of items if possible...
Keep in mind, since much of my jewelry is created with natural, one-of-a-kind, items, mother nature limits me as to what I can collect at low tide, so please place orders early for holidays and weddings, etc. My handpicked and natural sea glass is one of a kind, but sea glass stones that are manufactured and purchased locally are available in multiples most of the time, but certain colors may be limited. "Made to order" for weddings and multiples can take up to a week to fill. Feel free to contact me for current turn around times if you are in a pinch.

*I create jewelry for adults only. Please remember that any jewelry can pose a choking hazard to children and children should always be supervised around any jewelry.

Please feel free to check out my feedback, I think you will find that I am a speedy, ethical, considerate seller and you will receive a quality, original, handmade product for a really affordable price!

Please check in often, I list items daily so there is always something new to see!

Thanks so much for supporting handmade :D
