Item exactly as described. It will be perfect for protecting my little ones clothes against food stains as he learns how to feed himself. I will be ordering another one for my niece.

About

Free time and plenty of ideas make a powerful combination!

Ladybug Layne was created in 2008 as an occupation for two ambitious housewives. A merging of talents between a business woman and a beginning but creative sewer (myself). Our team efforts lasted only about a year when the business woman returned to work. Our early efforts were not very successful, a lot of wandering around in the dark and lots of questions we didn't know the answer to, but they gave me the start that I needed and never would have taken by myself. I did local bazaars and events trying out many different products and developing my sewing skills for the first couple years. Then in 2010 I found Etsy and in 2011 I opened my first shop Ladybug Layne.

Most of my products are based on things for my 4 children and their many little friends and as gifts for the women in my life. My absolute favorite items to make are fanciful princess dresses and costumes but since these items take so much time to make, they are cost prohibitive, and I rarely offer them for sale (so far...).

In the spring of 2012 I took my first set of kids art smocks to a local bazaar and the success that I had with them led me to offer them in my Etsy shop. It was my Etsy buyers that developed these into what they are today. As I received requests for long sleeves, longer lengths, etc... I have changed my products to suit my customers needs. My kids smocks have had outstanding success on Etsy, so much so that they quickly dominated my original shop!

In 2013 I opened my second Etsy shop Ducks n Drakes. Ducks n Drakes now houses most of my baby and kid products, many of which I am still dreaming up and experimenting with. My original shop is dedicated primarily to my smocks. I am still constantly revitalizing these items through my own inspiration and particularly through my customers ideas and feedback.

On any given day I can be found in my studio working on your orders and new products. Every once in a while I have to take a break to fix a Lego or defeat a bad guy in a video game. It's no easy task having a home business and managing a home with 4 little children but I have so far found it very rewarding.

It is amazing to me that the products that I make in my home studio in a small Oregon town, where I currently reside, are sent all over the country and all over the world through Etsy. I hope that they find a use in your home or brighten a moment in your life. It's very special to me to be able to share a little bit of myself and my life with each of my products sold.
